Have to see when the clerk is setting the appeals hearing. This hearing was just for the temporary injunction. If and a big one that the appeals hearing is held next week then he could be able to play next week against Philly. Best thing for Zeke is eventually the case will end up back in Plano to actually hear the case about the supposed DV charge. According to one of the clerks there is that the judge could demand and get all the people involved with the case to Plano (yes, that includes Goodell) to be in Plano for an unspecified amount time while the case is being heard. Wonder how the NFL would like that twist.

Bizarre set of circumstances.

The judges nitpicked the NFL side to death............. and then turn around and agree with them. LOL.

Oh well.

Bizarre, but understandable to anyone who understands how the law works. As I understand it, Zeke's team not only had to prove irreparable harm, but also had to to show a likelihood that he would win the case when it is finally adjudicated. Evidently, they were able top prove the first, but couldn't show a likelihood he'd win the case in the end.

He's set for life 2 times over if he stepped down today, he won't be burger flipping anywhere.

2 times over? He's already made $200 million as commissioner. You'd have to be pretty stupid with money to have that cover just 2 lifetimes worth.

4-2 at the worst easy.
Hard to say. Right now I would agree, but have us losing to Eagled and Skins. Things can change.

One thing is certain: we will find out how good Dak and the OL are.

If this team can’t win games without Zeke it’s not a contender anyway.

Don’t agree totally, but there is some truth in this. You just have to look at this as a six game injury. Would you throw away season at this point if knew he was injuried? It sucks, no question about that, but not ready to throw in towel on season.

Yeah, those guys live in a different world than we do. It would serve him right if we could make him go flip burgers or work in a toll booth or something.

For those well versed with the legal system...

It's not even the lack of irrefutable evidence, i.e. beyond a reasonable doubt (as with criminal cases)...

There's not even a preponderance of evidence here, i.e. conviction-worthy in a civil case. What the hell is the NFL basing their decision on, a few sob stories and a hunch? Boy, talk about your due process.

And that's..........okay? Good grief. Good for Zeke to continue to fight this. Anyone that tries to justify what the NFL front office is doing needs to fill me in on something I apparently don't know.

I've said this numerous times, this is not about whether Zeke is innocent or guilty, this is about a procedure effort by his lawyers to get a temporary injunction so Zeke can play, but Zeke was going to lose in the end and have to serve the six games anyway....

The sad thing is he's serving a suspension for Domestic Violence. That's what's attached to it and he wasn't even convicted of the crime. Zeke's name gets attached to woman beater and Goodell is furious about making $40 Million a year.
I would love to see Zeke win a defamation suit against Goodell, taking every penny he's ever earned working for the NFL.

Not a bad time for the six games if you think about it. In the middle of a three game home streak and the latter 4 should all be Wins.

@ Atlanta Win Not the same team as last year.
vs Philly Loss Start of three game home stretch. Win here would be huge. But just for arguments sake, I'll say loss.
vs LAC Win 3-5 team
vs Wash WIn This could easily be a loss because Washington plays better in Dallas just like the Boys do in Washington.
@ NY Win They're already in quit mode. Quite possible they'll be on an interm coach by then.
@ Oak Win Oakland hasn't shown any consistency this year. They can't run the ball and they're defense is meh.

10-4 is a good bet at this point.

So Zeke is back for home @ Seattle and Philly on the road. Two of their toughest second half of the season games.

I would say it's worse than an injury because I don't think he can even be on the practice field with the team.
They had made up their minds before this hearing ever began.

Immediate decision to ensure he doesn't play this week and asking a few questions about timing etc to give the appearance of impartiality.

It was a long shot once it went to NY, big money in its own backyard. The deck is always stacked against the little guy.
First thing I said.
