Points and statistics wise, we just witnessed the worst offensive three-week stretch in the Cowboys' 58-year history.

Yep. I suspected as much, but just heard it confirmed.

7, 9, and 6 points.

Who thought this offense was capable of the worst franchise lows we've ever seen?

Embarrassing.

Also scored 22 in a three week stretch vs Baltimore, Minnesota and Tampa Bay In 2000.

We did follow that up with a win vs. Washington next week lol.

Yeah. Unfortunately they've set a few records in futility the last 3 weeks.
  • 10 straight quarters without a TD was a record.
  • Dak's 2 game stretch of 6 turnovers and zero TDs is also a record, I believe.
  • Probably the second half opponent scoring differential set some sort of record as well.

Please right this ship, fellas.

A Garrett led team has produced some of the worst defenses and offenses in Cowboys history. This guy has no clue and he's just a waste of time. He's making McClay and others look really bad.
Defenses, yes.

Generally, the offenses are in the top half or top 10 in the league though. Hard to credit the scheme though.:muttley:

I was wondering about this.

I had said in a previous thread that off the top of my head I could not recall a more terrible 3 game stretch. In fact, I can't recall a 3 game stretch that even rivals this one. Especially when you factor in the state of the roster, expectations, etc.

I've seen worst. After Danny White, there was Hogeboom, Pelluer, Kevin Sweeney (strike season), Laufenberg... Then a ray of light came with Aikman. Then the qb's after Aikman (too many to name).. Then a ray of light with Romo. So this poor QB play is nothing new to me.

What sticks in my head is watching Laufenberg and Brad Johnson play with the Cowboys. Probably the worst offensive i've ever seen in my years watching the Cowboys.

Yes, you're right. In general.

But he's led teams that have produced some historically bad offenses for stretches when talent isn't at optimal levels and things aren't functioning to his "man up" policy. The guy is not an X's and O's guy. Romo made everyone clearly aware of this during the KC game broadcast.

The talent on this team is good enough. They just aren't being coached right. This team has quit without Zeke.

Garrett has had eight years and still hasn't put together back to back winning seasons. Objectively speaking, the only reason he still exists as the Dallas Cowboys coach is emotional justification.

In his short 7 year stint as HC, under Garrett the cowboys have "achieved " many many franchise-worst firsts

I have to ask you specifically.

Are you done with this coaching staff yet?

The last 2 games of 2000, and first of 2001 the team scored a total of 19 pts.
