Points and statistics wise, we just witnessed the worst offensive three-week stretch in the Cowboys' 58-year history.

Yep. I suspected as much, but just heard it confirmed.

7, 9, and 6 points.

Who thought this offense was capable of the worst franchise lows we've ever seen?

Embarrassing.
They could either replace the coaches and all players OR they could solve everything but cutting Dez and replacing him with 1 of 50 other WRs.

We have, without a doubt, the most bipolar organization in all of professional sports.............

Exactly. I cannot pick one player that played well yesterday. Oh, wait, Chris Jones landed four punts inside the 20.

By the way, the Chargers didn't even punt. Incredible.
Ya,know? It's borderline criminal as to the 'Why' this coaching staff continually keeps one of our best
( #6) fast attack players shackled,,, that 'personal foul' flag he justifiably was awarded with for his vindictively foisted upon actions towards his once was best buds & soon thereafter sworn foe, former#29 Demarco Murray, along the sidelines in that one game,,,?,,,? ,,,pretty sure the team 'brain trust' is keeping that psycho under wraps purely out of concern for the safety & general wellbeing of the LEAGUEo_O

(I luv that #6 player)

so, next week, if Cousins puts up 4 bills against us and we have yet another "give up" in the 2nd half, will this thread be re-named to "oh wait, NOW it's the worst I have ever seen"?

The offense was performing at a crazy-elite level in the four or five weeks prior to our current three game skid.

It's very easy to over-react to what we've seen. Things won't get fixed this season sufficient to reach the playoffs, but this offense can get humming along again next season.

To say this is the worst I've ever seen is a lie. The Cowboys of 1960 actually went 0-11-1. It wouldn't be until 1965 that Tom Landry finally got the Pokes to a 7-7 record. If Clint Murchinson had listened to the fans back then a whole lot of Cowboy history would never have been written.

Granted things have changed, but to date Garrett has had 1, only ONE, losing season, 2015, the only time in his tenure the Cowboys have been in the cellar.

Copy that Gary54! but even that was b-4 my lifelong fandom as it predates my timeline above ground by a year or more,,, I recall reading in the ' History cellar' that this expansion franchise was almost immediately hated right from the start due something about they were afforded the opportunity to high-grade or cherry pick the rosters of long established franchises and given preferential treatment in several years of draft picks,,, I recall the seahawks& buccaneers expansion,,, man alive, was those Tampa bay helmet logos flaming gay or what?:lmao:

I guess the STAR didn't get their hooks into me till '69-70', no denying it was a rougher, tougher ol' boys club to land and establish yourself in back in 1960, but with the salary cap& the extensive college programs these today players are rotating thru, we should ( at the visual level of expectations) field a team that performs at a consistently higher level than what's been put on the field these past three games,,, there is an obvious disconnect somewhere between the defined lines this Cowboys team of TODAY is dealing with,as pound for pound, I'll stick with the majority of the cats on this team up against any others franchise,,, we got a fungus among us ,whether it's GOODELL&companies 'STACKED DECK' policy, or a complete meltdown in command guidance or the cumulative effects of BOTH,,,we got whatever the hell it is we're afflicted with, out there on full display red hot& rolling over the cliff last three games, and I don't like seeing it:(

And these results given what this organization has invested in its offense.

Given the offensive talent on this team, it's inexcusable and a fireable offense for this entire coaching staff.
Is it really that 'football' talented though?

Nah, 2000 had Anthony Wright (Aikman got hurt in the the game before these). 2001 had Quincy.

Anthony Wright and Quincy both at least hit a few bombs.

This team ekes out a first down, and we take a moment to reflect on how nice that felt.

The point I made was that Jason Garrett has a better record than Tom Landry at this point in his tenure. And if Clint Murchison had listened to the fan Tom Landry never would have been the Tom Landry we know today.

Additionally, Garrett has had one, only one, playoff win in seven years. His body of work is unimpressive, to say the least.

And it's been argued quite a bit how the two teams are so different. Tom inherited one of the worse NFL franchises of all time who didn't even have a draft that first year. Garrett inherited a franchise QB and HOL players in Witten & Ware. A team that had been predicted to go to the SB in 2010 . You just can't give a coach that amount of time anymore with the way the game is played today. Not to mention Tom had a been a great defensive coordinator before he became HC. Garrett was nothing.

And Landry made the playoffs his seventh year and never looked back. This is Garrett’s seventh year. Are the Cowboys making the playoffs?

and 2015 was Garrett's chance to shine and show his employers and this fanbase that he can win a few games (at minimum 1 game) facing major adversity (losing Romo for the season)

he couldn't do anything coaching wise to will his team to 1 win after losing Romo. I'm sure he's a great person off the field, but he is not an NFL caliber coach. PERIOD.

Wow you people find a lot to argue about!

Let's see......Oh, Tom Landry didn't have a single playoff game until 1966. Jason Garrett has how many.....2?

If you just want to argue, we can do that all day long. Won't prove anything. Won't solve anything.
