Report: Cowboys players growing frustrated with Jason Garrett, coaches

Right, because it can't possibly be true. None of the 53 players have similar feelings to the posters on this board. They are all automatons and company men who totally buy the party line.

Do you believe that Ian Rapoport is a generally credible reporter?

I don't. I never have. Check my posting history - I have called him Ian Misreport on many occasions for this very reason. Thus, unless I hear this from someone with more credibility, I take it with a grain of salt.

Mickey Spagnola said after the game on the 105.3 the Fan that there was something missing from the locker room. That it was hard to put your finger on. But he'd been feeling it for a while. And its not just because they've been getting blown out recently.

Coming from Mickey...........I found that statement shocking.

So I have no problem putting at least some stock in Ian's report. This time.

zeke's thing has been an enormous distraction.
i dont think the team could focus the last few weeks.

Omg, one of the true pro's of the last decade in the NFL was calling out our blitzes according to Crapaport?

So did Romo when he pointed out the Mike linebackers that were coming on the A-gap blitzes that ensued and turned his body to dust.

Garrett needs to be held accountable by as many people as possible. Dak owned up to his bad play. Time for Garrett to own up to the fact that he is a major problem and is at fault for this team losing.

Have you noticed that Garrett only ever talks about how the players fail to live up to expectations. I can't remember one time where he said that the coaches didn't have the team ready or that they didn't adjust fast enough.

Garrett only preaches about accountability when it doesn’t involve him. He’s very good at pointing fingers and passing blame

Dude I know what we are doing once the QB comes to the line. We show what we are going to do and don't seem to adjust like a lot of teams do once the QB audibles.

i believe this one. the players are definitely frustrated.

Predictability was why JJ made Garrett give up OC duties. Teams would comment post game that our offense was predictable on a weekly basis.

Now this old defense that Rod is trying to bring back from the 90s has opposing QBs calling out the blitzes. Yay?

At what point does JJ and JG realize that predictability is a season killer in this league. And normally it's a career killer for most coaches. Asking Garrett to suddenly come up with a system that keeps the opponent guessing is beyond his ability as a coach. He is a morale coach and that is it.

Here is big difference as I see it:

Bill Belichick & Jason Garrett both visited Jimmy Johnson early in their coaching careers for inspiration & guidance. Belichick incorporated Johnson beliefs into his own style. Belichick pivoted several times during his career based on player personnel. Garrett on other hand, listened to Jimmy and basically tried to copy everything. He never had confidence to put his personal stamp on product. So what you get is coach who is incapable of innovation and lacks flexibility & foresight to time necessary adjustments.

I'll wager that the majority of the time you can't even call the personnel package pre-snap.

The players more or less gave up when Jones came out against them.

the only people who have ever been held accountable since he took over were ray sherman, jay ratliff, patrick crayton and then of course he turned his back on romo.

and jerry made him fire his brother since bennett flamed out here.

Why do you think grandpa Jerry had to go into the locker room after the game? To calm the players down from being too rash. Just gotta play harder in the second half. We have the RKG’s to do it.

Garrett has no reason to panic because he knows regardless he’s safe. He’s gutless and so is the owner

As of right now? Yes. But you think we are going to magically start winning these next few weeks with this staff? Not a chance. Get embarrassed at home by a division rival on primetime in a few days, oh best believe that seat is going to get warm. Jerry reads all these articles and knows the pulse of the team. If the veterans on this team that has been around for a long time and whose voice holds weight like Scandrick, Witten, Lee, Tyron and a few others start to come to Jerry and make it known Garrett is not cutting it, I think he would listen. You can write 2015 off as a fluke as that was Jason's first very poor year. But 2 of those in 3 years? No that's just who he is. A huge fraud. The worst thing to happen to this team is to claw to an 8-8 record. Because that won't make the playoffs in the NFC. You either need to win out or lose out. No in between.
