Good & boring, knocked off 2/3rds of a bottle of Jim Beam's pre prohibition 90 proof rye whiskey recipe so far today, can't say it's converted me as it's got a lasting lingering finish that I'm getting used to,,,weather is showing like a 20% chance of rain , up here in my due north of yer' A.O. for a couple of days,,,sometimes we get like a 2nd mini monsoon this time of year,not often,it skips some years but always welcomed when it hits:)

You got any free ranging chickens or poultry at yer' Hacienda? And do those loveable pit pups leave them alone?

I had like 12 Rhode island red hens& a rooster one time with that nurse wife,,,ha! I had two emu's running around the yard along with my 3 dogs also back then,,,had to keep my saddle mule over at the stable across the river a mile north of my place back then, no more roomo_O, think I'd bought 2 dozen peepers and that's what survived, that half yellow lab/half Chesapeake retriever dog I had was digging under the chicken coops door and would wait for a peeper to come out& would play with them to death:lmao:

I'll tell you about that pair of emu's I'd bought as peepers up in COLORADO and raised them till they became beyond worthless, sometime;)

Chickens. There are plenty of chickens around the farm..they reproduce and just run wild basically. I hardly feed them unless l plan on eating one. The rain kills a lot of them and the neighbors steal most of the rest :). I don't really care too much. They are self replacing. There are eggs everywhere. I grab a bunch once in a while. The hawks get a few too!! The dogs aren't around them too much.
That whisky sounds good. Man, l have boozed a lot of whisky over the years. Too hard on the system now. Still get a bottle of Bushmills 10 yr once in a while. A man can get a little rough on the amber current.:)
