It’s not just to the outside shoulder he wants the ball placed, he wants to be able to go up after it, so the ball has to have air under it and not come in at a flat angle. Romo described exactly how he wants the ball placed during a telecast this season. The ball came in a little too flat allowing the defender to get a hand on it. You have to be able to take advantage of Dez’s leaping ability.
For his salary he should not need a perfectly placed ball.

Many WRs that didn't make the NFL probably could have if they could request perfectly placed balls.

I agree. He's a jump-ball or back-shoulder receiver on his sideline routes. Suddenly, when we can't or won't throw the ball in the vicinity of where it has to be, it's like everyone has forgotten what the strength of his game is.

Now, that does not excuse his dropped passes this year. He's got to get that cleaned up.

A 50-50 ball isn’t a perfectly placed ball but you have to give the receiver a good an opportunity to make a play on it. A good opportunity for Dez is for him to be able to go up and high point the ball. It’s not likely he’s going to be playing for his current salary. You seem to think any JAG can replace him. Our WR corp isn’t going to improve unless we upgrade over him. Neither Noah Brown or Brice Butler are upgrades.

He’s been dropping balls for the past three seasons. He’s been frustrated and can’t stay focused. He recently admitted he lets things get in his head and bother him.

Every receiver has throws that are in their wheelhouse. Would you throw jump balls to Beasley? Would you throw line drives to Calvin Johnson on deep routes into coverage? It's not a perfectly placed ball, but it has to be where those receivers need it to be in order to make a play on it. Dak has not put many of them in that area, which is anywhere from on top of the corner to the sideline. If Dez has to try to work back inside the corner because of poor ball placement, then the corner both has position in his favor and the fact that the league is allowing DBs to be more physical.

I'm not sure Ware would have the inside scoop on these conversations. I'm sure if this conversation had actually happened it would've been picked up by several major news outlets by now.
Guarantee he has more of a scoop than our yahoos in here.

The stats I have seen show him only credited with 1 dropped pass in 2016.

Now you may not care about facts. I’ve seen this same thing posted here before and yet everyone keeps repeating the same misconception.

I suspect that when Dez tests the market for himself, he'll realize other teams aren't going to pay him in the manner he's hoping for. He'll either take much less or leave. I'm hoping to see the latter come to pass. He's a legend in his own mind now and stubbornly in denial that his perceived glory is over. There are rookies awaiting their chance who may well offer more production.

The stats only show “flagrant” drops. Passes that you and I could have caught. If there’s any degree of difficulty in making a catch regardless if the receiver gets both hands on the ball it won’t go down in the stats as a drop. Dez had both hands on several passes this season that he used to be able to come down with that were contested.

A lot of passes to him are contested so they’re not routine but he received a huge contract making those plays. The game announcers have pointed out on replay some of these passes Dez had both hands on that a player of his caliber should have caught but they didn’t go down as drops in the stats.

I don't know,
Don't you call your buddies? I know I spend way too much time talking, so no different for anyone,, I'm sure Ware still has a few close friends on this roster that he still raps with.

Yeah we talk all the time.

Depends on how the draft unfolds. If you cut Dez-- then you HAVE to take a WR in round one. If he's on the roster-- we won't have to force the decision and have a bit more flexibility to let the draft come to us.

Wrong. Dez is no better than a 3rd round rookie right now, if that.

In theory, an incentive based deal would be fine. The problem is that if Dez feels he's not getting his targets and he starts thinking it's going to cost him money by not meeting incentives, he can become a serious locker room distraction.

That's my worry.
He is a CANCER!!!

I honestly think if dez is cut. He goes somewhere and puts up big numbers. Our scheme isn’t working for him. He has specific skills. Have to utilize him. Don’t put him in situations that aren’t to his advantage. I understand romo and him had a great repore but dak has thrown him some great balls. Yes some bad but some good.

I think Dez SUCKS.

Even on a real down year Dez still has more TDs than any receiver on the team. You would actually be fine with Noah Brown replacing Dez? All Brown has shown he can do that Dez can do is drop balls and not get open. He’s looked like a complete JAG so far.

If Noah Brown had as many targets as Des his stats would be be better than Dez.

This is terrible logic.
Dez got those targets because there werent better options, including Brice Butler who wasn't even playing when it mattered most though he was likely healthier than Dez was all year.

Dez is very replaceable if we go find a #1 WR. But there isn't one in house.. possibly including Dez but certainly after him.

Dez got targets not because he was the best option but because he was the most LETHAL CANCER on the team.

Don't confuse them with facts. It really upsets them.
