News: BST: Jones Says Coaching Changes Coming to Cowboys

Hell yeah cant wait for the new tight ends passing game on 3rd down coordinator

Personally, I’m looking forward to the new “kickoff coverage unit in the fourth quarter when you’re up by three with five minutes left” Coordinator.

That was a high over-rated squad. OL was garbage... Julius Jones was RB. Brady James and Akin Ayodeje were awful in pass coverage, our CBS were an aging Henry and Jacques Reeves... safeties were guys like Alan Ball.. Roy Williams couldn’t turn his hips..
I agree about the secondary but the OL and defensive front were pretty good, Jones was phasing out and Barber was the workhorse. That 2007 team should have at least beat the Giants and would have had the Pack at home.TOs 13 pro bowlers, although we all know thats more a popularity contest, but it was a team built to at least get to the NFC championship game.

sure is puzzling why they are changing out all of the offensive staff except the cord nor sure why they are keeping linehan

Barber couldn’t carry the load and our OL the first year Romo started only played together a year. That OL was giving up close to upper 30 sacks a game by the end of the year. David was a bust and Gurode couldn’t call plays at the line. Columbo was a journeyman also.

yes, i am sure the sacrificial lambs, i mean, the coaches fired, is going to make a major difference in the won-loss record of this team. The weakness was also at the top with the coordinators and the head coach himself with their ill prepared game plans and lack of game adjustments. Yes, those lambs, i mean, coaches, had a lot to do with this. Shame on them. Reminds me of the proverbial "rearranging the chairs on the deck of the Titanic."

No, a competent owner or GM wouldn’t have hired Garrett, and wouldn’t tolerate being saddled with him. This organization is going nowhere as long as that old drunk is pulling the strings. Jones conned the fools in Arlington into helping him build a stadium, and he cons thousands of fans into buying his tickets each year. You give him a nickel, you’re part of the problem.
Excellent points. Jerry is the one writing the checks and allowing Garrett to keep his job. Jerry is the main problem and Garrett is a major problem!! Also, we have no home field advantage in that circus like stadium Jerry promotes and built with taxpayer money.

Because it was only 3 years? We are staring at probably 9 years of Garrett, at least.

And in the end, the results will only be slightly better.
They will be worse. Campo no Superbowls in 3 years. Garrett no Superbowls in 9 years. Hope I am wrong on Garrett’s 9th year, but we are talking about Garrett. The same Garret who never helped Chaz Green during the Atlanta game, while Dak was getting killed. I was yelling at the TV for 4 quarters help Green. It NEVER happened.

His 1 mistake was who he hired as GM.
When he first bought the team, hired Jimmy to take care of the on field and player as well as hiring his own coaches, with himself in the background much like the way Clint Murchison did, he looked like a genius........once success came as quickly as it did, the ego exploded and Jerry didn't think he needed anyone anymore and could do it all by himself..........aaaand that's where we are today.

Dak needs stability not change right now. He's not ready for that big a change.

Keep saying most of this year was on Dak but people want to make it less than simple. Linehan gets a F for not having them all on the same page. He's in charge of implementing the game plan. The receivers didn't help like they should have. The OL gets a small share. Garrett had the least to do with it but he's the boss so he gets a F, too. Plus he hired Linehan. But no he can't fire him......yet. Besides.......see below..........

Probably why Jerry didn't just clean house either. He wants to see what team shows up next year. The 13 win or 9 win one. Are we pretenders or contenders? I promise you we go nowhere without good probably better QB play.
