News: BST: Jones Says Coaching Changes Coming to Cowboys

Looks like Bissacia is going to join Gruden.

So that sucks

You are stuck on the issue being Garrett, which it is not. The last several coaches did not succeed and all flamed out. You realize Jerry is hiring the next HC right? And you think he will change this time? Why? Blind hope? If not then really why would he change now?

Ok let's blow through this facade that you are creating

Were you in favor of firing Campo or Wade?
Why? Didn't you know Jerry would be hiring the next HC?

Just admit that you're a Garrett homie despite his less than mediocre coaching you just can't admit you were wrong about him

Landry: 29 seasons, 18 playoff appearances (62%)
Johnson: 5 years, 3 playoff appearances (60%)
Switzer: 4 years, 3 playoff appearances (75%)
Gailey: 2 years, 2 playoff appearances (100%)
Campo: 3 years, 0 playoff appearances (0%)
Parcells: 4 years, 2 playoff appearances (50%)
Phillips: 4 years, 2 playoff appearances (50%)
Garrett: 7 years, 2 playoff appearances (29%)

Two of these things are not like the others. One of those had no QB, the other an elite QB in his prime.

I'll be honest.

I never was overly impressed by him. Not a bad coach but some acted like he was great. I guess what I am saying is I guess I don't really care if he stays or goes.

Yeah Garrett threw wade under the bus to get head coaching job. All down hill from there. Wade went on to win a super bowl and now is helping take rams to postseason. I Can’t believe jasons been our coach for going on 10 years. What a joke.

The Garrett era has been one of the worst and most frustrating I have ever been through. Worse then the Campo years by far.

Oh we're paying attention

And seeing right through you and your agenda

You seriously cannot be that jaded about Garrett? That you can take any statement not claiming he is an idiot and needs to be fired as a sign of support?

How about you answer my questions first?

Camp cupcake?

Looking back now those camps were fort brag compared to the posh rules under the new agreement.

Although I will never forget Wade saying how his team was the best walk through squad he had ever seen. LOL

Ppl have to accept that Wade is a good coach. The proof is in the pudding—he has done well every place he’s been.

Head Coaching Record:

Wade Phillips: 82-64 (.562) - Playoffs 1-6 (.167)
Jason Garrett: 67-53 (.558) - Playoffs 1-2 (.333)

I am not sticking up for Garrett, and would love Dallas to move on from him. But Wade is a good coach? Come on man. Good/Great DC for sure, and as a head coach he is better than Garrett but not by much.

Yeah not sure there is a ton of difference between the two as HCs. But Phillips is an infinitely better as a coordinator than Garrett ever was (or likely would be).

How else should we take it? If you dont want Garrett fired then that means you support his hire. And dont lay that lame excuse that he is the best we could ever hope for with Jones.

So Phillips has gotten his teams to the playoffs 6 times in 9 seasons (not counting partial seasons when he took over for someone else)?

That's not better than 2 times in 7 seasons?

Edit: It looks like it was 5 times in 9 seasons, and he has a 1-5 record.

I would get it if he consistently produced top special teams units like say Dave Toub. But he doesn't. I don't get the charm either.

I am beginning to wonder if the coaches Garrett fans tells us aren't very good like Dooley and maybe Eberflus are actually the guys on staff that are competent.

You really got things twisted. Did I ever say I do not want Garrett fired in this thread? Did I ever say I do not want Jones to hire another coach or that this is the best he can do?

How do you, as a fan, even judge "great" vs "not bad", when it comes to special teams coaching? Who would you consider a great special teams coach?

Just want to highlight for everyone that is calling for Garrett's head. This organization has issues more than just with the current HC and staff. From a timeline perspective, it has been an ongoing problem since Switzer.

Free agency? :muttley:
