If JJ was gonna have patience with any coach it should've been Campo because he was the victim of JJ's cap ineptness. Troy talked about not wanting to play longer because he felt like his legacy was being ruined in Dallas. Parcells was able to turn things around because he is a genius when it comes to recognizing coaching and player talent. He recognized Belicheat, Peyton, and Coughlin who all went on to win SBs. Peyton brought Romo to Dallas. He drafted Witten, Ware, and Newman. He made the DL a priority by drafting Spears, Ratliff, Hatcher, Bowen, and Canty along with bringing in Fergison. When Parcells left they fed off of his work via Romo until he couldn't stay healthy anymore.

Yep, but then he did all that and chose Quincy "bong" Carter to lead his team. Then handed over the reins to Testicleverde and Bledslow. He is fundamentally flawed in his affinity for settling for bus driver type QB's. Without LT to help make the defense dominating Parcells would never have sniffed a SB.

Omg TO was on a another level. I'll post his stats in a bit, but he was still killing it at age 37

His last season with Dallas, TD still had over 1000 yds and like 10 TDs.

I don't think so e you guys watched the games back then. :hammer:

And everyone loves to bash Dez but think what he could’ve done had he been used by a good coach.

Dez could’ve been top 5 ever.

Patrick Crayton was saying similar things about Garrett and the offense as well. The reason Garrett got rid of the wr's coach at the time was because the wr's were complaining to him about Romo calling a play and instead of going through his reads he would just force it to Witten regardless. Crayton said they would look at the film and point it out and that's when T.o. Started to complain about Romo and Witten were coming up with their own plays outside of the offense.

Which I completely agree with T.o. Now that I'm hearing that Tony was pretty much running his own offense anyway.
TO wanted the ball t go to him all the time, every pass, every play even if he wasn't in the field. he threw mcnabb under the bus, he complained about that offense. he talked himself out of SF and he talked himself out of dallas. and as for crayton, his ego was bigger than his ability. he was a 3rd WR type, who struggled. he went away from dallas and same thing. at some point, its the player, specially if its in multiple places.

TO is also right.

I don’t get why people don’t see this. You have to be some kind of Garrett supporter to say his schemesmarent bland, and basic to the point that it hurts our team.
I am not a blind garrett hater or blind supporter. we are talking about TO. you obviously are a garrett hater, so anything negative about garrett is music to your ears. if hitler says anything negative about garrett, you would support hitler (yeah a bit extreme, but trying to make a point). I don't trust TO. he got kicked out of SF, he got kicked out of the eagles, parcells didn't want him and he got into spat with parcells and he got kicked out of dallas. he is a cancer. he is selfish. TO was about TO and TO only and nothing but TO. that's why he got into it with so many. he threw Romo under the bus. he threw witten under the bus and those two guys are two of the most professional hard working athletes in football.

Or I just know enough about football to know my opinion is validated with a decade of evidence.

Does it take Jason Garrett himself to admit these things to finally make it validated or is the actual plays he calls in games over and over out of the same formations not enough?

I’ve watched Garrett commit the crime. I don’t need him admitting to it to know he did it.

Lol....now people want to listen to TO. TO is still salty because he was let go. He also said TR and Jason Witten conspired against him, because TR threw to Witten more. It was actually Stephen Jones who convinced Jerry to let you go . You people will jump on any wagon passing by...lol

Just watch our games. Watch how TO was used here. He’s not making anything up.

Do you not believe him or something? Because what he says is obvious.

I wonder what the current players really feel

According to Brice Butler they think the same thing.

He said that most of the time when you see Dez animated on the sideline it’s not because he isn’t getting the ball but because he is upset with how the game is being called and how it will cause the Cowboys to lose if they don’t adjust.

Carter was drafted in 01 before Parcells came to Dallas...

Garrett sabotaged Wade and TO and sucked at adjusting his offense..

Nothing new here..

nobody likes TOs delivery, but he speaks his mind..

Everybody knew what was happening in Valley Ranch, the implication being even Jerry knew but made excuse after excuse and wasted away Romo’s career.

The amusing this is the guy asking the question truer to say Garrett doesn’t call the plays anymore.

What does that have to do with Garrett calling the plays when TO was there?

Neither Jerry nor the Dallas media will admit themselves culpable and they were all part of it. They covered for Garrett and Jerry very well knew if Jason’s incompetence.
