If you think you are that precise I laugh at your arrogance
Me too but neither of us are handing in the card during the draft. Both of us could identify The Guy and have the necessary negotiating skills to cement a trade with another team to get The Guy. Unfortunately neither one of us is Jerry Jones, who has the final say on drafting any guy--even though that guy may be the farthest thing from The Guy. Hindsight and foresight are relative and relevant things depending on who makes the actual real life decisions.Depends on how you look at it. I'm in the middle. Some will point out the players that didn't pan out after we gave up other picks to move up. Then there are those who like to focus on the picks that did work out. I see both sides and both use hindsight.
I'm all for going after a stud.
So you have no actually facts to support your statement. Got it.It is history
Moving up by a round is obviously different but not as much as people think
You said it yourself ...every pick is a gamble
To say you can differentiate between top16 and top19 is pure hubris and a waste of time
we got TFred and TWill because we moved back...... we lost a top pick to move up and get Mo Claiborne
That's not saying much considering how bad the Giants were, how injured the skins were and the fact the Eagles played their backups against us in the season finale. But i guess it means against the rest of the NFL with some better teams we were 4-6!!!
So you have no actually facts to support your statement. Got it.
Nice strawman...where did I say that....... quick retreat modeIf you think that winning a game against mostly backs ups has a benefit to the next season, 9 months away, I laugh at your naivety.
And it's not about being precise. Picking 16th gives you a better chance, even if only slightly, to get a higher name on your draft board. It's almost impossible to argue otherwise. It's simply a math issue.

where are yours to support your idea that 16 is always a better pick than 19?So you have no actually facts to support your statement. Got it.
I was rooting hard for a loss. Because I love the Cowboys. Not pleased with dropping from 16 to 19 in the draft.
Winning is better because it was the game that day.... we only get 16 a yearThen why was winning the game better than losing the game, in terms of being "better" for the team?
Mock FanI was rooting hard for a loss. Because I love the Cowboys.
I can do some research but in general was giving my opinion. You made claims that it was "history" matter of fact in nature and yet you haven't proved anything other than you also have an opinion.where are yours to support your idea that 16 is always a better pick than 19?

Made of whip cream?I got to be honest.
Thinking about that amazing 6-0 win against their backups has me so pumped I want to run through a wall.
The Iggs were playing fry cooks and peeps who couldn't get a job stocking the shelves at Walmart.....
and held the Dallas offense to 6 points.
But hey, they beat the NFC Champs!!!!! Hell yes, baby. Pop open the champagne and give Garrett a 20 year extension.
But it's still a piece of the whole story. Picking 10 years and 2 draft spots doesn't convince me that it's this way across the board. If I'm even explaining that right.Interesting read right here. I wasn't aware of it but, according to the research, he's right.

Is the medicine getting stronger old timer? Still having flashbacks to the early 90's.still pleased? I never was and wanted a better draft pick.
But, that did give Garrett a winning season and that saved his job and that makes me cry for happy.
Hey, the Vikings are a joke. They gave up 38 in the same stadium that the Cowboys kept them to 0, naught, nada, zilch, goobero. So, please, no more negative talk about this stellar defense. We be a shuttin' out, shuttin' down, shut my mouth D!
