Points are what matters. We gave up same with a new secondary, without parts of the line for most of the year, without parts of the LB crew for most of the year.
Yes points matter and they gave up less each time the other team had the ball

Total points a game matter. Not the who has the ball or whatever, total is what matters. If I score more than you, I'm going to win all the time. If you score less than me, I'm going to win all the time. Pretty simple. So they gave up same amounts of points per game. That is 20.8

Then tell me how they both gave up 20.8 points per game?
Without looking at it, I would suggest that they were on the field more than our defense because our offense controls the clock longer than Seattle's. That assists our defense because they face fewer drives than Seattle's defense does. This also explains why Dallas gives up more yards and points per drive than Seattle does but still averages the same points allowed per game average.

Question, game is on the line which defense would you rather have out there to make a game saving stop, Dallas or Seattle?

It is all pretty clear to me. I take Seattle as it was last year any day. Going forward? Dallas is on the rise. I like where it is going especially if they get a bruiser at DT in the draft and another safety. A couple upgrades here and there and Dallas will finally have a pretty good defense.

Total points matter, but thats not how you get a clear picture of how good a defense is.

Case in point

The Chiefs, Bengals, and Seahawks gave up less points per game in 2015 than that historic Denver defense.

They were #1 in points per drive and they were on the field more times than any other defense, because Peyton Manning was so bad.

Don't let the names fool you, they were equal and that's the bottom line. You must be confusing them with the old Seattle defense. And I agree with the DT, but if the game is on the line, I'd prefer neither at this point.

It all matters. Giving up vast amounts of yards isn't good either.

Denver was ranked 1st in defense in 2015.

About Dez, cut salary or be gone. About defense, we ranked better than Seattle last year, and we gave up same amount of points. I don't know what else to tell you guys.

He put a quote of all the players
Not in points per game like you said “all that matters”
My first response to you was that Dallas was 8 and Seattle was 11th. You didn't like that stat so I brought up points.
Now you're saying points don't matter and ranks do. Which is it?

At the end of the day the score is the most important thing. No doubt about that. But if you don't give up many points and don't allow many yards, it not only gives your offense more possessions, and more time of possession, but it also demoralizes your opponents offense. It all matters.

And yes you are spot on with Dez.

So we're on the same team?
