So being a post-***** is your defense? You've been here since 2014, dude and yes, no one defends and props up the Eagles like you do. How many times from how many different posters have you heard this about you? A lot.

I live up here, so I am more hypersensitive to the Eagles than most. I have to deal with their douchedrip gaggle of fans more than most here and it's as annoying as hell.

But when they succeed, especially when faced with the same issues we've been told makes it impossible for us to win, while it pisses me off, I am going to point it out when it needs to be pointed out. Because I am tired of the dysfunction of the Cowboys and the failure after failure after failure of this franchise. So when a division rival, bucks the excuse train we've been on, I am going to point it out. When we've been told that you can't expect the team to overcome the loss of Smith or Elliott and then the Eagles go out and make the SB without their best offensive player and their LT, I am going to ***** about it.

If that makes me an Eagles fan, so be it. I can live with that faux scorn from you and a couple of others, because deep down, I know I, and others, are pretty much right about this franchise and where it's headed. The evidence is pretty overwhelming at this point.

And I take exception with the no one does it comment. I think Risen has pimped them more than me, especially when it comes to Wentz. LOL.

We scored touchdowns off of RPOs.

Nice try.
Funny thing is when we use them sometimes folks whine about it. Why use them when we can hand the ball off blah blah blah. Some of these fans are just emotional pick the opposite of what we did unsuccessful people. When we run rpo and they don't work it is why don't we hand the ball off and if it's switched around it's why isn't the staff more creative. Same soup warmed up everytime.

Forget the fans. You now have some players and former players pointing out the lack of creativity in the offense.

This isn't a new concept all of a sudden. Shoot, opposing players talk about our lack of creativity. LOL.

OP has been riding the Eagles all year long .......

He only posted on this forum in 2013 (chip Kelleys first year) when they won the division
and in 2017 when they won the division.

Coincidence? I think not.

The biggest difference is their FO is willing to take chances

They signed Murray and Maxwell and when it didn't work they moved on quickly

They signed AJeffrey and TSmith to try me deals, got CLong as a steal, same with LBlount and they didn't hesitate to trade for Ajayi

And most importantly didn't turn their nose up to a quality back-up QB like Foles

Alone they are no big deals but added up they really help when injuries hit

We could have signed Alex Collins, TJ Ward, Navarro Bowman, Joe Haden, Jaren Collins, BMawxell, DFreeney etc..... but we had a great excuse for not looking at any of them..... we were all set even though we had 20m in cap space left on the shelf

Yup, it looks like the 2000s all over again when they were winning the division almost every year.

The players are still human and excuse makers. When they go 13-3 I don't hear none of that so to me it's just an excuse now. Tell me about vanilla schemes when your winning wholesale then I'll put more merit into it. Until then it's blah blah blah talk from disgruntled people looking for excuses

Seem to recall the early 90's Cowboys were Smith left, Smith right, Smith up the middle. Couple passes to Irvin and Novacek, then Smith left, etc. etc.

Not to say you can do that again, just noting that there have been SB winning teams that didn't run the most complicated offense in the league...

In a time when the Cowboys were clearly the most talented team in the league do to know restrictions on the salary cap.

It's silly to try to compare the game today to 20 years ago, 30 years ago, etc.

In today's NFL, with talent parity, it's even more important to have upper level coaching who can be creative and adapt based on in game situations, injuries, etc.

Our fails at that IMO. The 7 years lacking of any real meaningful success would speak to that.

Who's to say Wentz will come back 100%? And he likely won't be running as much, which was part of his success (see RGIII). And success breeds players who can get top dollar for their skills, don't care how well you work the cap, you can't pay more than a few players huge money. Players for the most part don't have loyalty to their team, if they can make a lot more money elsewhere it's bye bye baby.

Don't see this division becoming the NFC Least like the AFC Least has been the last 20 years, where maybe one team a year besides the Patriots is "pretty good" and the rest are mediocre at best. Patriots have won their division year after year, whereas the NFC East has a different one just about every year lately. The Eagles won't be able to waltz through the division like the Pats do, imho...

Keys to the Cowboys competing for the SB:
1. T. Smith has to stay healthy for at least another 2-3 years.
2. E. Elliot has to stay out of trouble
3. D. Prescott has to make fairly large improvements in his accuracy and reading defenses.
4. S. Lee has to play at least 14 games a year.
5. D. Lawrence has to stay healthy
6. Brown, Awuzie, B. Jones, etc. must improve.
7. Have to quit drafting "project" and injured players.
8. Have to bolster depth on the o-line and linebackers.

I agree. If Wentz is healthy ( only if Wentz is healthy) will they be a force for years to come. Wentz is a superstar in the making

Yeah such a superstar he is. Seeing as Foles comes in and they don't miss a beat at all and in the Super Bowl. Is Foles now a superstar? But keep believing Wentz is what makes this team run. He's the least important part of this team. They have great coaching, run game, OL and a defense.

Before Wentz was injured the Eagles through 11 games had a point differential of 136 points. That's them winning games by 12.5 points per games. Since he's been out the Eagles average winning by 5 points. If you think 7.5 points is no big deal then you're stupid. So basically when Wentz plays the score is basically 12-0 before kick off. He is worth two possessions by himself. That's huge. How many teams have that advantage?
Another reason your argument is stupid is because he is still playing in the system that you say makes him. Who cares if he can't play in other systems? But here's a few things that are indisputable, he has total command of this offense. He has learned to manipulate defenses both pre snap and post snap. And his most important gift is he has a photographic memory. If he sees something one time it's his. The guy is special and he's just getting started. He is basically a coach playing QB.

Hopefully not this year. If the Patriots put together a good game plan as they almost always do, we'll have another Eagles Super Bowl loss to celebrate. I hope so. With a search engine it's possible to find all kinds of smut on the Internet, but it's not possible to find anything that's more obscene than an Eagles Super Bowl victory.

He's probably right.

This could be another early 2000s type run for Philly. The division is weaker with the Giants rebuilding and the Skins a clusterbomb. And the Cowboys have some talent but are a rudderless ship under an owner who refuses to admit the obvious and a head coach and coaching staff that is inferior to the staff in Philly.

Its eerily setting up to be a replay of the division from like 2000-2005.
 Go ahead and crown their ash.
