Likes are like dog treats. I like stuff I want to see more of. So, funny, constructive, informative, thoughtful, something that hasn’t occurred to me, somebody exchanging thoughts on something I said.

I try really hard to not look at a posters handle until after deciding to like or not like a post. Sometimes that’s easier said than done, though.

So what happens in this situation, you click Like by mistake...... do you unclick like or do you leave it. If you leave it, then they think you liked it and continue, do they think you made a mistake and wonder why you went to the trouble to unlike it, was it really THAT bad? What's the Like Etiquette here?

We don't have a dislike button, but what happens if you use the double click Like move to like then unlike just to show how displeased you were with that post? Of course, no one else would know, but that person would know.

I've been a member here for quite a while now. Since 2011 if I'm not mistaken.
I have never given a post a like because I associate likes with Facebook. I've been the beneficiary of many likes and I need to start returning the love.
What factors do you look for when you like a post?
What I do when I determine if a post merits a like:

I shut my eyes after reading the post and try to visualize the post. If my vision is of a unicorn riding majestically along the crest of a rainbow, the post is given a "like"

Lol,,, I think I faintly recall being hungover & it being dark and trying to put on a pair of one of the wives panties one morning trying to roll out for work,,,it was pretty instantaneous in knowing something wasn't right ,,,

LMAO...... Any excuse is better than none I guess.....

Reminds me of a joke I once heard.....

A man and woman gets married and make it to their honeymoon suite.
The man takes off his pants and throws them at his new wife and says, Try these on baby."
She pulls them up and they fall to her feet, she pulls them up and like before they fall to her feet and she replies, " These don't fit me."
He says, "That's right baby because I am the man. I wear the pants in this relationship."
She nods then takes off her panties and throws them at the man saying "try these on Attila."
He gets them to about his knees and he is pulling and grunting and finally yells out "I can't get into these!"
She replies, "And you never will with that kind of attitude."
