I love dez and think most of this board has in previous years. His contract is a bit much for his numbers but most of his negative year was because of dak and linehan.
I've always thought Dak struggled (2017) at times with footwork under pressure but that's also a symptom of a shady O line. We had issues at LT, LG and RT. Not to mention Elliott being out.
That being said most of Dez's problems are because of Dez. Route running, dropping balls in traffic, dropping balls that hit his hands, dropping balls that hit his face mask, giving up on plays that break down, lazy routes that aren't going to him, whining about not getting the ball, then gets the ball and holds the ball in one hand like a loaf of bread and fumbles, not making an effort to catch passes that aren't perfect etc.....
Those factual examples are all on Dez. He's his worst enemy. Not what I want out of an 8 year veteran.

I'm not ignoring Dak's problems and questionable play last season. Don't think anyone is. However, to think that Dez has no fault in it at all is simply truly naive.
Same here. Criticizing Dak while pointing out other areas that are a part of the offensive struggle go unheard. I've just had enough of Dez to care whether he's here or not. At least T.O. was an elite WR.

The Jarvis Landry franchise tag is at 16 million. He averaged 8.8 yds per catch last year. That's the new bar.
Expect no reduction in Dez' salary.Time to attend to the pass blocking, not the receivers.Dak isn't Tony,he doesn't throw receivers open,he also doesn't throw ill advised passes to covered receivers like Tony did....regularly. It's time for Linehan to adjust.

Dak isn't accurate enough to make those throws to the sideline or down field. He's a chain mover, and the defenses know it loading the box most of the season taking away a lot of those safe throws. The question is what can Dak do about it? Linehan and garret didn't have a lot of answers.

The easy answer is run the ball more effectively. Tough to do with 6 guys blocking 8.

Okay quit arguing, Dez and Dak both suck...lol

Actually I feel it's the scheme, lets not design any plays inside the hash marks.

This is what made me love the player from the start. Before all the social media bull he got wrapped up in.

As she said shes spoken with him, and he said its not about the money but about respect. Theres nobody on earth or any other planet that can say Jerry and the organization havent shown Dez all the respect he could ever ask for. When he was going through his troubled time there wouldnt have been a team in the league that wouldnt have tried to trade him. But Dallas stuck by him and provided him guidance and security to save him from himself. That is what makes Jerry and this organization special. At the end of the day its entertainment and its just a game these guys get aid lots of money to do. But beyond that, fans have to realize that they are people.

Best news is the report on Tyron and him not needing Surgery, and he's feeling just fine.

I'm good to hear this from DEZ.

He needs to understand like others before him..

at the peak of his career he gets paid well as he has.

On the backside of his career..

he needs to let go of some of his piece of the pie for more help if he really wants a SB ring.

We' will see if he is smart enough to figure this out.

The guy is rich for life already.

Now he needs to think team.

Dez cant throw it to himself
And Dak can't make Dez catch the ball and run the right route.
I know you're a Dez fan and don't want to blame him, but it is partly on him, just as it's partly on Dak. The biggest part is most likely on Linehan and JG.

No noddle on that big fella, would have drowned me for sure.
Caught that big cat off a tributary on the Nicoya Peninsula CR, on a trot line.
Had to jump in to get the pick, boat mate snapped the shot.

did you release him or no?

When/where did Dez say he would take a pay cut?
He would be an idiot to come out and say it publicly.
Use your brain for once.

Just watch what happens and we all get to listen to you cry as Dez is our #1 WR again next year.

If Dez would take a pay cut to around 7 million a year and become the #2 WR on this team that would be fine. He is an awesome #2, but no longer a #1.
So who is your #1?
Some rookie? We know that’s not going to happen.
Maybe a free agent? List 1 that is capable of being a #1 on this team...and let’s not forget we don’t overpay around here for free agents.

Im not one of these guys that always thinks, THIS year. Possibly draft a guy high. There are some quality receivers in FA, but nothing special from what I can see. Not sure we even need some big stud #1 guy. Two very good #2 types would work great. With Zeke and the strong run game I would favor more of a dangerous receiving corps rather then one great guy. Guys with speed that can burn you with big plays and lots of YAC.

We're overpaying Dez for par production, why not bring a player who can do better?
Landry or Robinson may work.

Rather than hoping Dez is cut or traded in this off season how about reversing the thought process and hoping he comes back to being a 1000 yard receiver. See what I did there?

I have no problem with that. As a matter of fact, I have no problem if he isn't even a 1000 yard receiver. I just want him to reduce the mistakes HE makes.
