"This is an ACL, plus at least two ligaments," Kelly said. "This is an RG3 equivalent, folks. This is worrisome ... That's a long rehab. And if it were my patient, it would take nine, 10, 11 months."

The surgeon then went on to say, at least from his perspective, that it's "absolutely" too optimistic to expect Wentz back on the field for the Eagles' Sept. 6 opener. In his eyes, the two-year veteran would need a minimum of nine months of rehabilitation to start playing -- with a knee brace, no less. And that kind of time frame suggests Wentz wouldn't be available until mid- to late-September at the earliest.

Despite a big arm that can make all the throws, Wentz' running ability is a big part of his game and mentality.

This bares watching.

I’m m not sure why is a thing. RGIII isn’t out of the league because of injury. The guy just wasn’t a good QB. He was healthy after his surgery he just sucked. Carson isn’t like RGIII, a athlete trying to play QB. Carson was born to be a QB. Nothing to see here folks....

Wentz is nothing like RG3 who couldn't read a defense or throw the ball accurately. Once the league figured out all he could do was run and scramble, he was done. You keep him in the pocket, make sure the DL stays in their lanes, and there is nothing he can do to hurt you. Wentz can run but he's can also stand in the pocket and kill you from there. QB's don't need to run much to be effective but they better be able to sling it accurately.

so we are ready to take the word of a dr that didn't do his surgery, yet on the Cowboys page that got shut down there were tons of posters crucifying a doctor that said Jaylon Smith might never fully recover because he didn't have inside knowledge of his specific case? Would not surprise me if Wentz was ready to go for the opener.

I look at this way. We rip doctors who diagnose our players from afar and rightfully so. In this case, this guy hasn't looked at Wentz so he's just guessing at this point based on what he thinks is the case.

They got Foles...they would be wise and wait until Wentz is fully healed and not push it or let him talk them into going in early before he is 100%
"they would be wise".........you're still talking about the eagles, right?
