I don't mind the player. I think he's a upgrade over Smith. I don't mind the trade down. But why on earth did you do this? I would've taken my chances on him getting cut.

I have no idea how good this guy is, but obviously the Raiders do not think he's as good as Smith (who we let walk). We probably could've kept our 5th round pick and drafted a FB that would fill in just as well for less money.

Move down 19 spots in the 5th/6th round for a guy they would have to cut at some point. I’ll know how I feel about when I see who goes off the board with those 19 picks.

It will be 19 players 90% of fans never heard of. But let one fan whine about one of those 19 players. and it will go viral on here with 25 mega threads.

Could have been had at the cut down to 53. Is swapping a low 5th for a middle 6ths worth having the guy in camp?

I'd have to say it is.

Maybe but knowing this team, they still draft a FB in the 4th or 5th and keep the rookie.

LOL because yeah, trading for a FB is the same as the Eagles going out and landing guys like Darby, Jernigan, Ajayi and Bennett in trades.
Yeah they are obviously on par as players....

We gave up a 5th, and get Oakland’s 6th? Seems like a decent trade, solid player...

I like it. Jason Garret likes the use of a fullback...

The only way we can be disappointed if he don’t start the season on the roster...

Yeah, that 12% of offensive snaps that Smith played proves it!

Of course, that's better than the 8% of the offensive snaps of the guy we traded for.

:facepalm::facepalm:

Fisher could have made people pay for this kind of info, but he might be kind of generous today.

The key here is the low salary -- trading for him locks in the salary. So that's why we trade for hi. Rather than waiting for him to be cut. Our guys leaves and makes 4x that, so air they are comparable players it's hard to complain.

Maybe they think Smith better suits Gruden's system he will use over Owale.

They Signed our FB. We then traded for their FB, which we already had in camp years ago, which they no longer wanted. Is that about it?

Que the Twilight Zone music.
there is a reason the cowboys don't trade real often they get the shaft

There is most likely a reason they traded picks to get him. Dallas wanted him and probably another team was in the mix to sign him with
lots of cap Dallas didn't have. Yes, the Raiders may have released him but, then we might be in a bidding war to get him to sign. We
haven't been successful bidding for players lately.
