I liked Cooper and would have liked to bring him back, but our line this year will be:

Tyron/Collins/Beard/Martin/Fleming

And it will be a big improvement over last year.

Did I miss the Fleming signing?

I disagree. If they liked Chaz Green before last season......then they should still like him now. They are the ones who played him out of position. I don't blame him for that.
I hope you're right but he was a tackle all along. So playing G for the first time in his career could have been playing out of position too. Anywho I doubt the guy can stay on the field long enough for us to find out.

I don't know all of the details of his injury but I would think there is a specialist out there that could keep him going.

I'm not sure if Dallas has forced him to be around team doctors or what but he's in California now supposedly working with someone so we'll see. This year will tell us a lot.

i think the real hope is surgery, which carries risks.

I think it's a stronger possibility that he never steps foot on the field for the Cowboys again.

We will see. I don't see it. I think they are going to give him another shot. And i'm not sure if they shouldn't. I can't knock these guys for not excelling at another position. Byron, Collins and Green have been products of being misused and having to play out of position.

They need to upgrade this position either in a signing, trade, or anywhere outside the 1st round.

Heck... I'm fine with moving Lael back to Guard if a good tackle can be found.

I was thinking of signing both Fleming and Waddle. Right tackle and swing tackle.

And bye bye Chaz Green!

From Sporting News...

“ Reports say Dallas will be meeting with New England tackles Cameron Fleming and LaAdrian Waddle. The arrival of either could pave the way for La’el Collins’ return to left guard.“

Really? I don't think Chaz Green has been a "victim" of anything other than being Chaz Green.

That's true. But soon as he was asked to learn the position they moved him back to tackle and watched him get destroyed. Not only that but he's been hurt his whole career. He hasn't even been allowed to have a healthy offseason.

I don't think Green is as bad as he showed. I can't even explain what happened in that Falcons game. But this team didn't I can say are doing him no favors.

I'm not. We can't keep using 1st rounders every time we need a lineman. Other teams can find linemen in the 2nd and 3rd and 4th rounds. I advise the Cowboys to do the same.
I’d rather take a guard later but if he’s the best on the board I take him
My guess is LB will be though

Sigh.....ugh.......if its the best player there.....I might have to listen. But I really don't think that will be the case. I think guard at 19 is going to be a reach. If its not linebacker or safety....then we need to trade up for one of those positions. I'd stand pat for a receiver.

He must have been overpaid by SF. He looked much batter next to a healthy T. Smith. Do they have a OT like him? I would assume we had right of first refusal and refused.

Maybe. I can't say because he's been position jumping and been hurt since he's been here.

Neither of which is a good thing.

And make note of this.

After the Atlanta meltdown, he never saw the field on offense again.

Not when Bell sucked, and not even when Cooper got hurt in week 17.

Never saw the field again.

Those are personal issues. Your a paid professional and that game against the falcons I’d expect from a guy who we picked up that Thursday leading up to the game who prbly didn’t know even a quarter of the playbook.

What compounded him looking even worse in my opinion was how he didn’t even know where his help was for certain plays. Shows me he didn’t care to study for his career/job.

Sorry no cry me a river story here
