You are right. They deserve credit, all pessimism aside.

The Cowboys had next to nothing cap-wise after franchising DeMarcus Lawrence, but they were able to address depth issues at receiver, offensive line, and linebacker. Hurns may be the only "name" signing among them, but Dallas should get credit for at least hitting most of their need areas.

The real answers at LB, S, and DT should come in the draft.

We can argue about who Dallas should have targeted in free agency, but the team has landed the players it has targeted. The Joneses brought in Thompson, Hurns and Fleming and signed them.

I like the last two days better than any since the season ended, but I won’t give them credit until they change the thing that has haunted them for 23 seasons.

Hurns is a chain mover but our roster is full of them already. We needed a WR that puts DBs on their heels. Hurns does not do that. Giving credit because they signed anyone is a fail. Hoping he's productive but we need someone who puts the deep ball in the back of their mind.

This... I'm not ready to proclaim the Jone's great or anything, this is just a step. To me, to be impressive, you need to win Play off games and go the NFC Championship game. Other than that, I'm just waiting.
...waiting and *****ing the whole time.

I must admit, I feel the FO has been trending in a positive direction since taking Martin over Johnny Football.
Sure, they may have had no where to go but up, but still moving in a positive direction.

Glad they whiffed

You could be right, but I'm wondering if they could have cut Dez Bryant and ended up with both Sammy Watkins and Allen Hurns. Especially since Hurns signed so cheap.

I'm not a Dez "hater",but he's declining physically and costs too much.

What's it going to be then, eh?

It is kind of like the trades to get either Paxton Lynch or Connor Cook that thankfully never developed the way they wanted them to.

Better to be lucky than what they think is good sometimes.

Once this franchise starts doing things I agree with and hence, starts winning again, I will become unrecognizable.

I don't think you or anyone else is prepared for that.

You would have to be the first person I put on the ignore list. I'd be like watching Ronald McDonald munching down a Whopper or something. I don't need to see that.
