and yet we are into year 8 of the process. Makes perfect Cowboys sense. In the real world he should have been canned after 2015. No way a good coach allows a team to tank the way he did.

Garrett's process has been a dismal failure. I agree he should have been kicked to the curb a long time ago, we need a coach that can win in the playoffs.

Or you can’t comprehend, the point is continuing to change coaches doesn’t mean success, changing coaches and the same people hiring them doesn’t mean they hire the right coach, none of the coaches since the last Super Bowl has been successful, the problem is systemic, and that includes everyone. I believe they’ve been on the right track the last few years with what they have in with the coaching staff, players, and philosophy.

Well then you definitely aren’t making sense because it’s not continuously switching coaches. It’s been 8 years and we have 1 playoff win. I’m not seeing the last two years pointing any differently than other years with JG. In fact last seasons refusal to adjust made me feel worse!

Stephen watched Philly happen without its starting QB, LT, MLB, RB, and CB.

The Dak stuff was based purely on hope. There is nothing about Dak so far that remotely resembles Troy Aikman. Troy had a powerful and accurate arm and he was most comfortable in the pocket. That is the polar opposite of Dak.
ahh not giving JG a pass but if you say he watched the eagles do this and that , id say is Was SJ/JJ that actually watched and didnt go out and go after some of the players IN Season that philly did trying to fill those holes..they tool shots that aren't always guaranteed with some trades and it worked out.. so JG didnt get the FO help that phillys GM did fpr their coach etc..you cant simply say hey i watched a Team do just as well with their losses and my coach didnt fair as well..ahh but you didnt give him the help..

It's interesting that the narrative of what was said is dictated by Ed Werder as opposed to what was said in the interview.

You don't call 4 different coaches with less than on average 2 years continuously switching. Jones told you when he hired Garrett that he was learning as a head coach, on the job. He told you his new philosophy was to have continuity at the coaching position, it isn't like every year here has been bad, that 1 playoff victory narrative is weak, it's like the weak narrative that Romo couldn't win a big game. The fact no coach since the 90's has more than 1 playoff win, tells you it's not just on the coach, just as Romo success in the playoffs wasn't just on him.

Took him 4 years to learn to run the football. Now we just need him to learn to run the football in the red zone instead of passing 3 straight times. Maybe he can even realize the shotgun, empty backfield set on 3rd and short isn't a good idea. Garrett is slowly getting the to point even he should be learning. I wish we could speed up his learning curve a bit.

I still think he should also be pointing a few fingers at himself. When their LT went down, they had a talented player step in and perform well for him; they didn’t just help him with a TE. When the QB went down, they had a quality starting QB behind him, not the garbage we had in 2015, none of whom has done anything since. Can you imagine if Dak had gone down with our undrafted rookie as the only backup last year? When Sproiles went down, they made sure they still had two quality power backs and a rookie 3rd down back.

It’s easy to blame the coaching, but it’s a lie to insinuate that we had a talented roster behind any of our injuries last year. LT-garbage. LB-garbage. RB- 1 over the Hill back who only made yards because of the OL and lack of interest by the defense. DT1- we were playing lightweight DEs there at times.

I’m not excusing the coaches, but the depth on our roster is not talented, and Stephen knows it.

The objective of the game is to win a Super Bowl. They haven’t done that. Haven’t even been to one. Haven’t even won a conference championship game.

So yes. 7 failed seasons.
So basically you're saying if you don't win a superbowl it's a failed season? Because winning the conference championship means nothing, being runner up means nothing. So with those lofty expectation you've been miserable far longer than Garrett's tenure.

That's foolish, his offenses before even becoming head coach was consistently good.

Consistently good while only making playoffs 2 of 7 years and winning only 1 playoff game isn't good enough apparently. Spend so many resources on building a dominant running team to not use it when it should be most beneficial is foolish.

I don't give a crap about that last narrative. They didn't have a team for most of those 7 years, even the teams that were deemed good had major holes that were exposed, mainly defensively and in the trenches

I know you don't give a crap about it. I get that you're a cup cakes and unicorns fan when it comes to Garrett, like you have to be his personal defender. I am curious though, since you indicated that Jones admitted Garrett needed to learn when he was hired. What do you believe he has learned over the past years and what do you feel he needs to still learn or do you believe he has completed his learning as a coach? You seem to have a defense for every criticism so he must be the perfect coach in your mind.

No I don't give a crap, because whining is weak.and for weak minded folks. He learned enough to earn COY according to his peers.

What is weak is children, like yourself, that think every criticism is whining.

I'll take your response that you think he is perfect now. Thanks. Carry on playing Jason's white knight.

You're not critiquing, who do you think you're fooling, you've been whining, there's a difference, and it's weak.

Yes, giving specific examples of what I want him to "learn" is whining. You're so special.

You don't want him to learn anything, you want him fired, you whine about the FO decisions, you whine about the players, that's special.
