we are not close to competing for anything come next year. am I throwing in the towel? NO. let me repeat. NO

games have to be played. teams off season additions may not always work out.

but Eagles are the champs and they get Wentz back. Minn. had a great defense added a good QB and they will get Darwin back. Rams are loading up and have added some nice pieces and they had some nice young pieces already. assuming those three are class of the division.,

so that leaves Cowboys, GB, Carolina, Seattle, Falcons, NO as the group to fight for 3 spots. which basically leaves us fighting for twoof the final spots. right now we are behind all of those teams. yes we get Zeke back and that will make a lot of difference. but its an uphill battle.

again, not throwing in the towel. just based on the off season. yes, draft to come but everyone always claims draft made them better and my draftee is better than yours.
13-3 in 2016, we got our RB back for a full year, hopefully the OL and Lee stay healthy, DB's more developed. I see much reason for optimism

The Eagles imploded the year before when their right tackle got suspended. It's not like their GM and that organization has mastered offseason acquisitions. They had one good year. Good for them.

Damn right, they had a stroke of luck in one year, they spent money and was one of the only two team that has worked for in the salary cap era, Denver being the other.

Easy guys.... On the lighter side I had won the second chance lottery scratch ticket game for the Cowboys, and will get season tickets for two for 2018 with first options for any playoff tickets. They will be for sale when I do get them. I live in El Campo Texas and probably wont be able to go to any games . I may keep one weekend set but will have to see come August 2018 when I get them. Don't even know the seats just that they are between the 30 s. I will keep everyone posted as I get information.

The way I see it we are not dynamic at all on offense, Dak=Unknown, Witt=Slow & Steady, Receivers=No one dynamic at all, OL=Can be great, Zeke= Great. Shut down Zeke due to defenses daring Dak to beat them through the air and it could be a long season unless Dak can consistently make defenses pay while stacking the box.

Defense=Should be better with the back end guys and DL should at least be as good as last yr. LB=Draft to add starters. All in all it seems like Dak is the main guy here, he approaches his rookie yr performance we should be able to compete at least, he approaches his soph season then we will go nowhere.

How often are pre season ranking correct
I don’t think many had the eagles as SB champs
We have holes, we need to hit in the draft to fill those holes
yes and no.

where did eagles rank? not as high. but they identified their weaknesses, compared to the others in NFC and I guess it worked out. same with Minn. they had a weakness in QB situation, RB situation, another CB and they ended up in NFC championship, the rams upgraded their coaching, so everyone including us does that in the off season. yes, games have to be played. but it doesn't mean you can't evaluate yourself and compare to other teams you have to play and have a plan to get ahead of them. is Cory Fleming going to get us over the hump? is Alan Hurns the answer?

the comparisons and ranking don't mean anything at this point. that's all they are. and they are very subjective. but at this point, you have to be subjective until you get to play the games and get evidence.

I didn't read the rest of your comment cause you said Wentz is not an unknown. Then you followed that up with "remains to be seen how he rebounds" ....... In other words you haven't a clue how he will come back from injury hence the reason I said unknown

perhaps a better wording of what I meant. perhaps you didn't read everything in between as you said. Wentz is not an unknown in the sense that he proved based on his play that he is a great QB. he was in MVP conversation. he has shown in two years that he is going to be a great player. he had injury. recovering. how will he rebound? same question we have for Dak. how will Dak rebound? perhaps Dak's is mental and its a tougher rebound. almost everyone recovers from injuries. if he is well enough that he can stand in pocket and make throws as he showed, they are a dangerous team. he may suffer scrambling and gaining yards.

Nope, we won't because you said so and it's on the internet...

However you want to word it the fact is he is an unknown right now. RG3... Injury how did he rebound? Wentz makes plays by running around avoiding the rush..... He will have a brace as long as he plays. He could just as easy fade out.

Dak is tougher and isn't injured so that's a silly comparison

There is no question Wentz will be back and he will be fine. The bigger question I would be concerned with is Dak the future. He has to show me more to believe in him.

not throwing in the towel. but where are we with respect to rest of NFC. what do we have to do to get on top of NFC? if you don't properly assess your own state, then you don't know what you have to do to move forward. we have made some moves to cover apparent weaknesses, yes, draft has to happen (for everyone). at this point, prior to draft, based on FA and where we are, we are middle of the pack in the NFC.

games to be played.
I would say that were not as close as this organization thinks. I would say we're right in the middle of the NFC.
Tier one teams are Vikings, eagles, Rams,
Tier two are Saints, Falcons , Panthers, Seahawks, Packers
Tier three. Cowboys, Giants Commanders, Bucs
