Memo to Jerry: Fire the coward in your building

Sorry to start ANOTHER Dez thread but this has bothered me to no end. First time in 30+ years as a fan seeing anything like it from a Cowboy FO. The coward/rat in your building anonymously calling out Dez should be fired immediately. As a fan whether or not hate Dez or want him gone, you have to agree this is NO WAY to handle this. It's now way too personal. You know only hurt the player now but his family also. I know Fish has his critics but he got this right.

I guess I'm naive coz I don't believe this for one second. Maybe I'm giving them too much credit but to say Stephen or Jerry is behind this is reaching IMO. No history or pattern of this kind tactic against past players. Why start now?

That is what I think as well. I don't think for a moment think that the Joneses don't know what is going on and exactly where that is coming from. I won't go so far as to say they ordered it quite that clearly without proof but they knew about it no doubt whatsoever.

The leak was to Breer, a national guy who hasn't been on the Cowboys beat in over a decade. It would be one thing if it was local but someone picked up a phone and fed Breer the story.

Fisher is not exactly a sleuth.

First I have to say that sports reporters...any reporter is suspect whenever they have these “anonymous source” comments.

Media has become competitive to the point of trash mag TMZ level of crap.

Second.... I see this trashing of Dez (if sources are real) as a way for GJ and staff to blame Dez for their failings as coaches and coordinators. Here the media is talking about Dez non stop and ignoring how the friggen eagles Coach can take a bunch of parts bin players and win a super bowl. Our coaches can’t figure out how to win with real talent so we blame the talent instead of pointing the finger at ourselves.
Any coaching staff stupid enough to clap over a 6-0 win vs the eagles 3rd string should be fired.

Thing is sometimes the leak is actually from the top - not saying this is the case, dont know - but if they do want to release Dez, it's a way of them doing "damage control".

Oh I agree, no question they probably know who it is but like you said, to say they're behind it is reaching.

This is illogical because it assumes a person can only worry about one thing or person, as if worrying about somebody other than Garrett somehow means he can’t also worry about Garrett.
