No, it's not all on him. Just like when you get divorced, it's not all on one person... usually.

But that doesn't mean it's not the best decision. If it was only about his on the field play, I think they would have tried to make it work. But it was more than that. And they moved on.

This backstabbing talk is non sense. I've been saying for a while now they should cut him. Im sure the team has talked with him many times. I'm sure Jerry has talked with him in the past.

The writing was on the wall. If he didn't see it, well... it wouldn't be too shocking.

Your criticism of Garrett is fair as a head coach and "offensive guy". But he's not throwing anyone under the bus.

I disagree.

This is another in a long string of players shown the door while Garrett keeps a job he's never earned.

TO
Ware
Romo
Bryant

And countless others shifted in and out, along with each and every assistant coach swapped out too. One guy left standing.

what?

He played with all kinds of injuries. He played in more prime time games than anyone. he had a target on his back before he even entered the league. He had a controversy with Roy williams during his first camp. etc etc etc.

What is there to mental toughness that he didnt have? He made incredible catches that required immense concentration and physical ability. He was rolled coverage and the focal point of the defenses game plan for years.

Where did he not display mental toughness? he was an emotional player on the sideline and hated to lose.
I never denied his physical abilities, and he relied on them early in his career. When his physical abilities began to diminish, he became easy to faze out of games along with his frustrations, the drops, the inability to get off press coverage, the limited route tree, and so forth. I simply don't think Dez is smart enough to play NFL at this point with his physical abilities on the decline. I want smart players at the WR position (bye, bye Terrance next year).

All players play with injuries in the NFL; it's a part of the game. I'll give you the Jones fracture he had in 2015; that's a tough one to come back from. He has no excuses for the other lingering injuries, and I believe he even admitted after the season that he should have done a better job of getting his body right.

Come on.

TO never met a QB he didn't throw under the bus.

Ware was a cap casualty.

Romo didn't see the field again because we had a cheap rookie leading us to the playoffs and then decided not to play football anymore.

Who else did we run off? Phillip Tanner?

There's a long list of former players who don't have anything good to say about Jason Garrett.

But I'm sure they're all making this stuff up.

Sour grapes. One big, baseless conspiracy.

Again, how many players need to be moved on or switched out before the real problem is addressed?

Who else did he run off? Thousands and thousands of fans. If not tens of thousands. Garrett is a stain on this team. Eventually the full truth will come out and when it does its going to be VERY ugly.

He didnt get a surgery on his hand in 2012 because it would have meant he couldn't play. He knew the team needed him and did not get the surgery and taped his fingers together and played with a ton of pain. He said winning was more important and even cited Romo saying I play with Tony Romo and I saw him play with broken ribs and a punctured lung because the team needed him. Dez taped it up and played great against the bengals making big plays in the fourth quarter during the comeback to win. Played well against pittsburgh and hand an absurd game against new orleans.

A mentally weak player would have checked out and had the surgery. Dez has played with passion and emotion and love of the game since he got here. It's only being used against him now because the head coach and QB put it out there in the media that it was a distraction. It was common a few years ago for Dez, Murray and Leary to be mixing it up after the whistle with defensive players and letting them know they would never back down. They were mentally gaining an edge.

as far as being easy to faze out of games I am not going to get into the reason I feel that happened last year. Lets just say he can't throw the ball to himself.

Long list huh? Please share.

Were you also *****ing this much in 2014 as we were stomping our way to the playoffs? Or 2016?

The FO has been shifting Garrett's role in the offense away from him. It will happen even more this year. Like I said before, I don't see any value that he adds to this team.

But he certainly hasn't been running guys out of town.

We've drafted well and have actually retained many players.

Any "fan" that left because of Garrett being here isn't or wasn't a fan.

Did those same fans jump ship in Landrys last couple years? Were they there when Jimmy was building the team? The Campo years?

I threw up in my mouth when I heard fat boy Parcells was going to be here. How many superbowl rings did he win us?

I have and always will be a fan of this TEAM. The pieces and parts always change.

There was a story about how Rico Gathers was healthy a long time ago but that “some in the organization didn’t want to see him on the field.”
He wasn't going to play anyway. So free up a roster spot by keeping him on IR. Smart move.

I always liked dez but his time was up. Signing of Hurns marked it. Similar numbers last 3 years. Dez hasn’t has averaged 650+ yards for 3 straight years and last year was really offputting. I enjoyed his time here but his antics were too much. Seems dak Garrett linehan and Witten didn’t want to hear it anymore

Or Witten has protected status.
Sure he does. That's not some mystery. And I don't agree with it.

But if you think it was hard for Jerry to let the player walk, how hard will it be to tell Witten he's got to go?
