Well, the question is what are the reasons for the lower production? Injuries certainly played a part, but how much has the change in scheme and quarterback affected his numbers? We should find out this season how much of it is Dez and how much of it is Dallas.

If a lot of it is Dallas, then replacing Dez with lesser talent isn't likely to make the team better. It's more likely to result in poorer production from the passing game than we've been getting.

What is lesser talent at this point. Dez' strength was always his physicality, I'd argue that advantage is gone now and he is not the same player.

It appears he would have take a pay cut to stay and they still cut him. That’s strange to me.

It’s screams there is a lot more to it and we may never know. Dez has so-called outted the “C’s” on the team.

Well let me ask anyone who is up in arms over his statement about the captains, have you asked yourselves what is it that makes them not want him around.

Pat shurmur and Dog Pederson preach personality fit and chemistry.

Which means he’s perfect for Seattle, St. Louis, or Dalla.... Pittsburgh.

hmmm that's why you guys went out and signed Michael Bennett eh. Because he's a stand up guy? Must have signed him before the lady in the wheel chair fracas. I doubt the veracity of your post. Hey, maybe Mikey is a stand up guy

It appears Dez Bryant's goal of playing against his former team twice in 2018 may be unrealistic.

The Philadelphia Eagles and New York Giants are reportedly not interested in signing the former Dallas Cowboys receiver, while a league source told Yahoo Sports' Jordan Schultz that the Washington Commandershave not discussed Bryant "at all."

The three-time Pro Bowl wideout was released Friday, even though he claimed he would've accepted a pay cut if asked. He later appeared on NFL Network to express his frustration with the situation, while saying he hopes to land in the NFC East for the upcoming season.

Bryant may have to settle for signing with a team that resides outside of the division to exact revenge on the Cowboys. Dallas will play against the AFC South and NFC South divisions in 2018, along with the Seattle Seahawks and Detroit Lions.

Saw this morning from “the score”.
This (our NFC East rivals not having any interest) just proves the Cowboys made the right choice in cold turkey cutting Dez Bryant.

Houston. Baltimore. Zona. Houston makes sense but he'll have to share with Deandre Hopkins and a decent stable of WR's. Can he share is the question? Who wants to invest to find out and how much is the other question

The Dallas Cowboys ultimately had the last word/laugh and told Dez, "No, Dez, YOU can kiss our ***!!!"

He hasn't missed his tithe in over 13 years. Clearly these charges are erroneous.

Maybe he's not, but he still caught more passes for more yards and more TDs than any other receiver on this roster last year. A healthy Hurns is our only hope for equaling a diminished Dez. That doesn't exactly fill me with optimism.

Although I believe that we should have kept him because of this question, I would have had no problem replacing him with a player of at least equal talent. The numbers do not support that we have done that.

Yeah, that's what people said about Ware and then he went somewhere else and won a ring.
ware could still play at a high level. in his case it was only about the money. dez couldn't play. and it was also about the money. ware was never a cancer in the locker room. dez was. ergo, no dez.

We let Ware go and it was a win-win for the team and the player. The Cowboys improved and Ware got a chance to compete for a title a few years later.

Seattle isn’t interested. They are trying to get rid of drama (see Sherman) not obtain it. Dez would be a horrible fit and Seattle doesn’t have the cap space.

the other teams in the nfce know more about dez than others since they played against him twice a year. ergo, the lack of interest.

Dez is overrated by some Cowboys fans but it seems the rest of the NFC east know the deal.

Lol. And hes gir how many rings.
Stop comparing apples to coconuts

It is not a comparison. Nobody with an IQ higher than Dez Bryant's (Most people that can fog a mirror) would think it is a comparison; therefore I hope that you are just pretending to call it a comparison.

Players get cut or traded for personality, conduct, etc.. in sports every year.

The difference is that Belichick would never have agreed to Dez being signed to a big contract and likely would have traded him away back then.

You seriously believe that? He was blowing hot air to make himself look better after the fact and to gain sympathy. Dez already said "hell no" to taking a paycut when asked before. You think he changed his mind now after seeing what Watkins and Landry getting on the open market?

Also, we cut him because he wore out his welcome here. His antics were ok when he was producing on the field. They aren't worth it when he wasn't.
