It looks like the offense is pretty set with the exception of a rookie WR and TE. So with the current weapons at his disposal, will we see another 2016 or another 2017?

I’m thinking approx. 60% completion, 3000 yards, 20 TD, 12 INT. Slight improvement from last year but not enough to sell me on a big contact.

Dak is going to get a big contract though, unfortunately. Even with the numbers you predicted. The front office lives in hopeful denial that Dak is "the guy". Like a wife who knows her husband is cheating, but stays around and acts like she doesn't see the signs because it's too much work to divorce and find another man to be with.

3000 yards comes out to 187 yards per game over a 16 game schedule. That's Jay Cutler numbers from last year(190 ypg)

I'll go 3,500 yards, 24 passing Tds, 5 rushing and 10 INTs. Completion percentage at 65%.

2016 was great for any QB. 2017 was down but not as bad as many think. There were mitigating circumstances to the season. Dak certainly looked worse than what he may actually have been. I blame the coaching on some of this. Like not give help on the OL with Smith out.

I make many comments about Dak's accuracy, and rightfully so. However, there were reasons.

I say he will be between 2016 and 2017 stat wise. As long as the OL and Zeke are healthy and there for 16 games, there is no reason not to expect a near 2016 like season. However, they need to incorporate more down field throws. Yes the WR position takes a hit without Dez, but that remains to be seen. Someone can step up, get drafted, or just better game planning (yeah, good luck with that one LOL).

But correct some mechanics, improve accuracy and then then we will see if he is the franchise QB or if we need to look at drafting one in 2019.

But to answer your question, I think it'll look something like:

3,500 passing yards
25 TD
15INT
4 rushing TD
and of course a high completion percentage

As long as we win, I'd take it

To be fair if Romo had a chance to stay around as long as he did without a decent playoff record and not a single peice of hardware to speak of then why can't dak?

He deserves a chance to prove he can add something to the collection.

That is a step back. If Dallas wants to get to the playoffs Dak needs to be in 3600-4000 (250/game) yard area, accounting for 25 combined TDs, and his Ints have to be less than 10. He needs to be more efficient passing, somewhere close to 8 yards per attempt.
He gets defenses to actually respect his passing it opens up everything for zeke.

From what I can tell people have extremely unrealistic expectations of Dak this season. Did any of you watch him last season? He was Tebow-esque.

You say he'll have a "slight improvement" but post worse numbers than his 2017 campaign

2017 for the **** show it was in the second half produced:

3,324 yards, 62.9% completion percentage, 22 passing TD, 6 rushing TDs and 13 INTs.

How is: 60% completion, 3000 yards, 20 TD, 12 INT a slight improvement?

Then you call everyone numbers unrealistic.

Good point there :starspin: Here's to hoping he can!
