Beasly sure doesn't seem to think "it was all business"...........he seemed genuinely scared to post on Twitter last night.

Very strange.
He should be scared. It’s not just about money; it’s terrible production for a high salary. Dez wasn’t worth his pay and was on his way down....released. Beasley’s production dropped way down and isn’t worth his contract either, so yes, he’s the most obvious next dead man walking because we already have his replacement on the roster.

All the drama is so silly. Dez is a passionate guy. Hard not to like him. While he was never consistent, he was pretty remarkable early in his career. He’s had a string of years where he can’t get open because injuries seem to have affected his wheels, and he never adjusted his game to compensate with better route running. He wasn’t helping us for what he was paid.

Its not unusual for an employee to not to want to question management!
Has it occurred to anyone here that just MAYBE..they are afraid of talkin because the HC that many of us rail against might have some real control? I don't think we are giving the guy the benefit of the doubt. He may have much more power than we all think. Must consider that.
Well if he does than thats even more of a reason for Garrett to be fired. His last and final excuse was he has no control!

Drafting rb in the first IS dumb. Drafting rb top 4 IS astronomically dumb.

This IS still true.
I totally agree! Especially when you have QB that is old and broken all the time. The player to draft when you are picking in the top 4 is a franchise QB. The franchise QB is much more valuable then a top tier RB. The pick is riskier but the rewards are much higher.

Who's afraid to talk? Seems like we've heard from most of them in tweet or media form. Even from ex- players. It's bidness, everyone knows that.

After the season he just had, he's being smart. Clearly, the FO doesn't take kindly to folks tweeting their feelings and suspicions.

I think there’s a lot of “football fans” who actually enjoy the “soap opera” aspect of following football more than actually watching football games or talking about what happens on the field.

I think the evolution of the internet and social media has quite a bit to do with this.

And so much of the soap opera stuff is based on hearsay or rumors, and we’ll almost never certainly know the real truth. Yet people get so wound up in their emotions and opinions about this stuff. Just seems strange to me.

Beasly is on Twitter saying that he cant say what he wants to or else "I might be next".

Now if Dez was released soley because of his contract, why would Beasly have anything to worry about? Why would Beasly need to be very restricted in what he says if he didn't believe Dez questioning the offense had a role in his release?

Beasly, and I suspect some other players, clearly do think Dez was released for questioning the team and that is why they are scared to say anything on social media for fearing reprisal from the organization.

Can you post the specific tweet?

If Dez Was Released Soley Over Money, Why Are Players Scared To Talk? lmao... Beasley isn't he the guy who quit and came crawling back later.. sheesh... yep Jerry has his hit team out waiting on players to cry over Dez getting cut. I hope he gets to send out the hitmen soon and take a couple cry babies out.

I agree it wasn't soley about money.

It was most of the following in varying degrees:
  • money
  • production vs contract
  • age and future expected returns
  • 7-8 years of high maintenance and babysitting
  • new WR coach wanting greater control
  • money
  • fairly new QB needing more control
  • OC getting thrown under the bus
  • money
:D

The article clearly states that the offense used didn't throw to Beasley outside. But go ahead and blame Dak for the offensive scheme/system.

Why would they throw to Beasley outside when he primarily plays the slot?

Your point has no relevance to what the contention was, but yeah, keep defending Dak.

It’s not like Beasley’s production dropped last year drastically with the same QB that was throwing to Dez.. oh wait a minute, it did..

So that's your defense of saying Dak can't see the field can't pass outside the hashes?
