If Dez Was Released Soley Over Money, Why Are Players Scared To Talk?

Stephen Jones called him a distraction.

If you think a player is simply overpaid, you don't go public and call him a distraction.

It wasn't all about the money, but it played a role too.

So that's your defense of saying Dak can't see the field can't pass outside the hashes?

No his performance last year, his over 3 picks returned for TD outside the hashes with Dez having to play CB in many more, his pre-draft scouting report saying it, DC consistently saying their game plan is to keep Dez in the pocket and so on as nauseum..

Dez was responsible for a couple INTs since they actually went off his hands and were catch-able. See the Seattle and Denver games in 2017.
Any other non existent examples?

No, the Denver games were all Dak’s Fault. Aqil Talib was jumping the sideline routes all game and Dez had to play CB multiple times.

And he sailed passes over the head of wide open Zeke on like a five yard pass that led to a INT TD return when he blamed Dez on the series before for throwing it behind him, just like he threw it behind TWill against GB that led to a pick 6 return for a TD..

Keep trying though.. Dak’s numbers to all his receivers sucked..

BS, it went off Dez's hands. If he caught the ball it's an advancement. We're done, you clearly aren't in possession of the facts.

Ok watch this coming draft.gm's aren't reading your General managers tutorial.
So you're arguing that NFL GMs are all brilliant and don't make obvious stupid moves that go consistently against accumulated wisdom?

What world do you live in?

It’s clear who isn’t possession of facts...
The pass was well placed and Dez clearly dropped it and it went into the hands of the DB. There's no grey area. That's exactly what happened.

Does anyone else get the sense from the title that the Cowboy's have hired a big Italian man named Guido who will break people's legs if they say anything against the "Family"?

I have no idea, but plenty of players have made comments.

Like TWills against GB that resulted in the loss.. and like the one right after when Dak sailed it two feet over the head of Zeke on a check down that resulted in an INT return for a TD..

OK...

If he is scared, why is he posting anything at all? Perhaps now there will be more pressure on Beasley to perform better without big #88 to hide behind and that would scare a dude who didn't even want to play football early in his career and maybe now just likes getting paid.
Sounds vaguely how Crayton got railroaded after standing with TO.

What kind of comments?

By the way, I was joking about the title. I don't think anyone's scared.
Just the random interviews and things. Sounded to me that the players were on the outside and the staff as a group made the decision collectively. It was also said from an insider that JG was one of the last guys to go for the idea of releasing Dez.

Yeah, like the Skins game where Dak made a perfect pass in the end-zone and it went right threw Dez's hands.

And? Right after that he redeemed himself.

Every great WR drops balls, not every QB except bums throw record pick 6 returned for TDs and set records in futility such as not throwing a single TD for ten plus quarters straight...

Try publically criticising Belichick. Logan Mankins and several others got a ticket out of town for doing it.

How long did the other #88 Bryant last after throwing a Jersey at Parcells.

Imagine somebody ripping Jimmy when he was here. He cut players for helping opponents up off the turf. He cut a player for fumbling in a meaningless game. He cut a player for dozing off in a meeting.

We are living in a world where too many self-important Soccer parents raised kids to get participation trophies and pushed the "everybody is a winner" mindset.
So Jimmy would have cut Troy, or Emmitt, or Michael for helping a guy off the turf. It is widely known that he had one rule for his superstars and another for down roster players. Name one star he cut for any of those "transgressions".

Yeah, a lot of players have made comments - nobody is scared. But I think the OP is suggesting that players are scared to criticize the team, which is not really what the players have done. But maybe it's because they didn't have anything critical to say, or maybe because they understand there is a business side to the game.

Hell, even if they disagreed with letting Dez go, it's not like it's common for players on any team to publically talk bad about the team they play for. They are no different than other people who have a job - it's not common for anybody in any line of work to publically talk bad about their employer.
