What's funny is that nfl people always say it's WRs that are a dime a dozen.

LBers and Cornerbacks are a dime-a-dozen (aside from very rare, elite talents. Won't be one of those available at 19, in my opinion.)
Team desperately needs a WR. One than can make a real impact, right away. One with #1 potential.

Ridley is a bit overrated, one-dimensional and likely will be gone by 19 anyway.
D.J. Moore may be the most talented but the wrong fit for this team/QB. May only ever be a good complementary #2.
Chark, no. Callaway, no. Kirk, no.
Miller is a worthy consideration in rounds 2-3.

Sutton has immediate impact potential. Long-term dominance and star potential. Focal point of passing game potential. A realistic possible replacement for Dez. Is the right fit for the qb/offense, and the run game. He will not last until the Cowboys pick in the second. May not make it out of the 1st round IF he's even there at 10. They should make him the pick at 19 and everyone can not thank me later (but should).
Agreed.

But I think somebody ahead of us will get him.

We have telegraphed a lot of interest in him.

He's a hike and go receiver with no concept of an NFL route tree. While he's got crazy quickness and really good speed and athleticism, he's not a physical receiver. AT ALL He's got boom or bust written all over him and not worth the gamble at 19 (especially when our LB corps his held together with string and bailing wire).

With Dak's accuracy we need a hands receiver. Courtland would be my choice.
A receiver like Ridley or Miller would be a way better choice to help Dak. Both not only have great hands but also a penchant for making diving grabs. They both come from programs that use more complex route-trees than Sutton, so Sutton would likely be little help for Dak (at least for a season or 2). That being said, I don't want a WR at 19. Don't really want one at 50 either, but would settle for Miller if they had to draft one (I'd be okay with them trading up in the 3rd to grab Gallop or Washington too).

I don't want to spend the 19th pick on Sutton, but an awful lot of most recent mocks (many today) have it that way.
Most have Ridley going to Baltimore at 16 and Sutton (or Moore) going to Dallas at 19 and the Moore (or Sutton) going to someone else before the end of the round.

People are making the (hopefully) dumb assumption that the Cowboys are so desperate to to replace Dez, they'll take a quicker, less physical (not to mention, less talented) version of him in Sutton. To me, unless something weird happens, I'm all for taking Vea, LVE, Evans or Daniels in that order. My guess is Vea is gone, so LVE for me. The only guys I'd trade up for are Smith, James Fitzpatrick or Edmunds if one of them inexplicably slides outside of the first dozen picks.

Yes. And a LOT of top analysts are making that assumption.
Matt Miller, Mike Mayock, the guys at the Huddle....all did the same today.
McShay and Casserly gave us Moore.
They all have Ridley going earlier.

dont think its dumb....WR is a need.
Hurns injury history
TWill's body catches and hes hurt...might be last yr.
Beas...might be last yr.
Thompson...1yr deal.
lotta holes to fill next yr....why not Pony-Up now...up-grade over the body catcher.

How is WR as big a need as LB? We have bodies who can catch the ball in WR room. What we don't have are consistent, healthy guys who can stay on the field at LB. They went out and signed Hurns and Thompson to replace Dez and Butler. But don't tell me the LB they signed is to replace Hitchens. Do you remember how bad we were at stopping the run when Lee went down and when Hitchens was out? If we don't make a move on a LB who can start, we're gonna go down in flames (regardless of who Dak is trying to throw to).

MILLER has done something to fall out of grace..He wasnt on the prospect lists and i dont think the Cowboys invited him for a look..Not sure about him...

How is this guy compared to Dez?

Hes not 1/10 as athletic. The only thing they have in common is that they cant create seperation.
