If I heard correctly his subpar year they had him playing in a 34. In 2016, he registered 10 sacks as a DE when Kansas played in a 43.

If we draftedSweat and he got hurt being the injury prone guy he is everybody would be crying. Same way Jaylon gets bashed for being injured. The hypocrisy and inconsistency of the zone. FUnny

I’m glad the Dline got a fresh body but I’m not a fan of the pick with Settle still on the board. Save the project players for the later rounds.

Eagles got the EDGE player I wanted, Josh Sweat 6'5 251 4.53.

I hope Armstrong turns out to be the better player but Eagles know how to draft defenders. Better than Dallas for sure.
Marinelli needs to go.

He has a knee issue but I agree his talent looks terrific. Seems like it might be the degenerative type knee issue. I think he has 2nd round talent.

My concern would be the ACL. ACL's don't really heal - scar tissue forms but a tear is a tear - the ligament fibers do not bind back together in the ACL. Ask Sean Lee - he played with that partially torn ACL for years, UNTIL it tore fully. I know this first hand as I had a partially torn ACL - then it tore completely - surgeons said they don't really heal and the knee joint just isn't as solid until full repair surgery done.

Like guys with big motors - and was obviously productive until injury and double teaming took toll in 2017. Pass rush help is always nice. Just worry about the knee.

So broken legs are recurring injuries now? Where did you go to med school???

I don't hate the pick only thought there was a better healthier player available at the same position.

Similar to when Cowboys picked Jaylon Smith over Myles Jack. One guy was recovering from an injury and the other had potential to have an injury (e.g. Ron Leary).

Rather have the healthier lengthier more explosive better rated blue chip player who can contribute day one.

Where is everyone complaining that he is undersized?

All the T.J. Watt haters who said he was too small at 6'4" and 252?

This guy is 6'4" and 257. Almost identical.

I sometimes forget that Kansas has a football program. But I did manage to see one of their games this year. I liked Armstrong's consistent effort throughout their game (even though OU totally clocked them).

Espn kept saying sweat had knee issues. 1st round talent but big ? On knee. See him as a 10 to 12 snap a game player.

Armstrong is recovering from ACL tear, Sweat is supposed to have tendinitis that MIGHT give him trouble in future.

Armstrong supposedly did not perform well at combine and last season because still recovering. Sweat killed it at combine and looked like he was fully recovered at end of season.

Its Myles Jack vs. Jaylon Smith all over again.

Gee, I don't know. I guess people get more worked up about first round picks than they do about 4th round picks.
