Anyone else still mad we didn't move up and get Vea or James?

I'm still pretty upset we didn't move up into a better position in this draft

With 5 QB'S going in the first round this is a year moving up a few sports to get a dominate player would have been easy...

Remember we could of had Vea or James....

To me LVE is a project and not a dominant player​

Not crying at all over missing out on James, honestly. After Derwin James was drafted, I listened to the announcers (I was streaming the live video from my phone's Yahoo Sports app, so I'm not sure exactly which network's feed I was watching or who the analysts were) discussing him and I heard them throwing around terms like "head-hunter." If we spent a higher pick (or multiple high picks since this is a trade-up scenario) on a safety and I heard someone calling them a head-hunter in the next moment? At a time when the NFL is changing their rules to crack down on helmet shots? My Spidey sense would've been tingling. I'd worry we just repeated the Roy Williams blunder, investing a top pick in a guy who gave us 2 good years before immediately becoming a relic.

Vea would've been very nice assuming our current defensive staff actually values the player he is. Which I don't think they do. But even if they did, I feel like we'd have had to give up too much (possibly even next year's 1st) to make that happen.

Vea was out of reach, it would have taken at least the 2nd round pick and teams would probably had been reluctant to go down all the way to 19. Esch is no project. Even people like Broaddus that were not that high on him have said so.

I am content with LVe,i believe teams like Titans would have drafted him if we tried to trade down and i am really glad we didnt trade up which would have cost us a 3rd rd pick.

No to trading up for Vea. We got what i feel is 3 long term starters on this team in LVE, Williams, and Gallup. Will any of them be Pro Bowlers or All Pros? Don't know but all 3 have a fair chance of developing into an All Pro. Would rather roll the dice on 3 good players then give up one or even 2 of them for one player who doesn't play in a big money position. Now for Derwin James. I would have liked to have him on the team but going front 7 was the way to go i feel. I really don't feel too bad about not going up for James.

I'm not huge on the LVE pick in fact slightly against, but what they got both in the second and third were absolute steals, they actually made a good SECOND ROUND PICK OMFG.
