We know what we could be with a real coach but that doesn’t appear to be a real possibility .

Unless of course your referring to Parcells, Wade or Gailey who were real coaches . Did they fare any better with Jerry ?

Lol...a stud? He was a 4th rounder, the stud was Wentz and Geoff who went what 7-9 and whatever the Rams did....Just admit it was a hell of a coaching job by Garrett for taking a team to the best record in the NFC with 2 rookies and the qb was a fourth rounder what other coach did that?...lol

Did Goff or Wentz win rookie of the year? Was either in the discussion like Dak for NFL MVP?

Ouch!!! Poor guy.

Wentz was stil talked about being a better QB, than what happened? he turned into a really good QB. Stats dont tell you everything. Even Goff did ok last year. Unfort our coaches let our QB down more than he did.

If you are taking the two, cant go wrong with either. If you are taking Wentz, lots you can do. If you are taking Dak, you better keep him to his strengths.

Personally, I would take Wentz over Dak. Although with the knee, I would have to see first. Dak with his leadership, smarts, and work ethic has a big upside. It will be interesting to watch the two over the next 7 years develop.

This team has been in constant “rebuilding” mode since Jason Garrett took over. By now this is obviously how they want to build the team. Draft well, and plug in 2nd/3rd tier free agents where needed.

I don’t see that changing anytime soon. By the time this phase of the rebuild is over, we will be figuring out who to keep along the OL. The good side of this is that this philosophy will keep us in contention for a division crown much of the time as long as Dak and Zeke can play at a high level.

This, the Rams and egirls saw dividends the first year not year 2.

a lot of people would take Wentz over Dak and there is nothing wrong with that. THe thing is , stats are just a game thing, Wentz just needed time for this team to get it together and their coaches did it faster than Dallas. Dallas meanwhile blew a lot of opps, plain and simple.

Wentz is your proto QB even when the league wanted to to running QBs. the pocket passer is still the best. Wentz can overcome most injuries on his line too, Dallas crapped the bed. we are going to prove in order for us to do, its going to have to be a really good line. Our coaches better stick to the run for the most part and let the run set up the pass. Dak can kill it when he can but he cant carry it.

While Garrett has some shortcomings in his Gams Day mgmt he has been a key contributing factor in developing much of the dynamics and culture of this roster. Our drafts begun making more sense in 2011 when he and Will begin influencing Jethro and Son.

I see Garrett as a walk around GM. I’m not sure if we can have more success with him but also not sure what our alternative realistic solutions are as long as Jerry insist on his involvement?

But if you like some of the things we’re doing I think you have to stay with him.

Exactly my point, JG had his hands in that, while Wentz and Goff were suppose to be the A list talent.

You’re right ouch, thanks for making my point, son...lol

Garrett should be the assistant coach and walk around the team and help where need be. He would keep the QBs looking good, this or that where his mental capacity can bring a lot to the team. HC and GM are both nos. If he had a strong head coach who can fine tune the team and stream line game day, Garrett would be shine so much better.

When has Dallas not been rebuilding? Has there been a year since 2008 where Dallas wasn't rebuilding?

Although some don't like to use the word, rebuilding is exactly what this team has been doing the last few years. It has been very impressive what they have done in the last two years alone. Not only that, but they have done it by using primarily the draft. And being overly cautious in FA will be paying dividends come next year with nice cap relief. Can they develop a complete team without signing and big name guys in FA going forward? I have my doubts.
Two? They've been rebuilding just the defense for the last 4 after deciding to switch back to the 43. Still don't understand the timing of that considering Romo's career was winding down!

Its already plainly obvious well before this year that Garrett is a sub standard coach. Imagine what we could be with a real head coach.

Try convincing Jerry and Stephen of that and see what you get. I'm surely not saying JG is what we really need or anything of the sort. He's got Jerry and Stephen's ear, though and until that changes, we can forget about another HC coming into the picture. Will that change at year's end? We'll see.

Whenever the team disappoints it’s a rebuilding year. They’ve been rebuilding quite a lot since Garrett took over.

He’d love this thread.
Do you dispute they've been rebuilding? A JG hater started the thread.
