The reason Dak is a good QB

I love how the false premise has grown that Dak "made things happen" when he played without Dez. In reality they went up against three rotten defenses while being backed by 190 yards rushing per game. NFL teams win those games 85% of the time regardless who they trot out at the QB position.
So.... what's your expert opinion on the other 22 games he has won? Oh I know, he was lucky is all, ok that's it discussion over, Dak is a lotto lucky QB, not an ounce of talent to be had in him, just plain ole wish upon a star lucky he is. Grief.

For a season and a half Dak looked great
For half a season he looked scared
What changed? The oline fell apart without smith
That appears to be fixed
Zeke will be here all year
I expect Dak to have a fine year

Dak is a place holder for Stephen Jones jr. Dak will be traded or released in 2 yrs.

Sorry buddy but the way the cowboys hold on to players and coaches you will be disturbingly disappointed for years to come.

Might as well pop open your tiny bottle of poison and finish the job. Its gonna be a while.

In dak we trust:starspin:

He already proved he plays better without a star wideout and spreads the ball around successfully when concentrated on various targets.

Imo what we have now at the position without dez could be 2x better than what we had when dez was injured and Dak balled out.

Dez injured:

-twill (no hands, no speed)
-beasley (limited speed, small, possession only)
-butler (limited speed, one trick pony, disappears)

^^^^^Still Dak made things happen with them

Dez cut:

-twill (same)
-beasly (same)
-austin (good speed, hands, good route runner)Would hope so considering his route tree only extends out about 10 yards for his career his hands are probably as reliable as TWills
-Gallup (best route runner, best hands, potential)Sorry if all the scouts could say is he runs good routes he may be a slightly better TWill.
-thompson (a faster butler, better skills)He is what he is, he knows what it is like to not be on a team he knows his role

^^^^^Dak will do 2x better with the add-on's

I believe the better route runners along with better hands wideouts will really benefit Dak greatly, and limit the interceptions. Dak will also have decent timing WR's and should be able to put the ball where he wants it to be.

Dak will prove the haters wrong, book it.

My opinion is that QBs don’t win games. I prefer to simply evaluate the QB for what they did on the field, regardless of what the score ends up being. It’s been a while since I watched those games, but I seem to remember Dak played fine in them. I just don’t see a 3 game stretch nearly two years ago as any kind of indicator that we’re good to go for a season of Dak and the Route Runners™.

Also only in Dallas post Dez are we advocating for not having a player that draws double teams because then our QB cannot look anywhere else.

He needs a player not drawing double teams to be able to spread the ball around.

A) That's an incredibly stupid argument.

B) If it's true...Dak isn't the QB we need or deserve.

C) Hate our fans sometimes.

Dez scared no one. The fact that no one wants to sign him should clued you in already.

Better college quarterbacks than Dak Prescott didn't make it in the NFL. That's ridiculous.

I'm waiting to see NFL throws on NFL routes. The Cowboys seem determined to abandon much of that and try to play college street ball. Defenses like the Eagles will toy with that.

He's going to have to become an NFL quarterback. That's Dallas' only shot with him. Otherwise, next man up.
Dak is a stud and he isn’t going anywhere. Looks like you will be crying about it for another 10 years.

Dak Prescott starting for us at QB is PATHETIC and no worries by seasons end most will be here agreeing with this statement!!!!
Patience soup man patience.....

Never before have so many been so invested in abject mediocrity. The weak on the field performance is self evident to even the most casual watcher. Beyond those merely suffering from post ,”Romo Derangement Syndrome”, there must be a deeper reason his apologists are so defensive.

Dez drew double teams last year. Saying that he didn't over and over doesn't make it true.

Also, latest reporting is that Dez has received interest from many teams but has not signed. Saying the entire league has passed on him over and over doesn't make it true.

Lol....not as many as in the past. Stop crying about dez. He is unemployed for a reason. Justice has been served.

Simply cruel about the Dez man how soon we forget and for who and what....Dak a Tim Tebow talented level QB who parasites off of Zeke and our 300 million Offline....say it isn't so Dez say it isn't so........and dang not even a thank you from Dak for having Dez break up at least 8-10 interceptions last season as Daks as accurate as a drunk man behind the wheel......

McClay seem to indicate he was not able to beat the one on one. While you are right there were games he got doubled but I know he faced CB who were able to play him man up with no help. To claim Dez faced constant double team is not a true statement.

After last year, he's a pretty average QB, we'll see what he does this year. This year he has zero excuses.

You like comparing Dak to Tebow? Give me a break not even close to a comparison. Tebow's entire 3 year career numbers do not come close to Dak rookie season. I realize commenting on this with you is a lost cause since you have your own agenda but it is so far off base it is ridicules

YOU must be speaking about "hold you all the way down the field" Indian name for Jenkins!
