Wait, you mean he's not absolute rubbish?
The analysis in the first place is asinine because it began with the assertion that Dak shouldn’t have had the 100 QBR game because it was a “poor throw” in that play.
Which is just wrong for many reasons. Dak’s QBR was already penalized for the slightly long throw because had it been 6 inches shorter, Dez scores a TD and Dak finishes the game with 2 passing TD’s rather than one. Therefore, his statistics already take into account the failure to throw the ball perfectly.
That being said, in no way shape or form should he not get credit on a play where he reads the defense properly, catches the safety biting on the double move and then throws a ball 50 yards in the air well enough for it to hit Dez in the hands. Any idea that the play should be removed from his stats when assessing his performance, is just nonsense.
Romo made Dez so when he retired that = Bye bye Dez which = It's Precott's fault that Dez is gone because the young QB is not a veteran gunslinger with 10 plus years experience. By George I think he's got it!!!!!There's a direct correlation between Romo retiring, Dez getting cut and Prescott being blamed for literally everything under the sun.
"Dak second to only Rodgers in 100+ QBR/games played"
I'd also point out Dak is 2nd in win % when his QBR is 100/+, second to Brady, and tied with Foles.
That's why you go Dak friendly.
This is distorting the argument a great deal.
The point is that stats can be misleading, especially in a small sample size. If one play takes your game stats from suck to good, it's indicative this might be a problem. This is true here.
I guess we're ignoring him having to lunge a bit?
And we'll ignore the late throw
When a WR is that open on the opponents end of the field, there are only two reasons it should not be a TD - a drop, or a poor throw (assuming a throw is made).
