Brees. One of the best, most consistent QB's I've ever watched play the game.
Romo. Romo didnt fail in SD. Romo didnt fail on his own, he had to battle an FO as well. If Sean Payton doesnt give Brees a second chance, doubt many do.
Yes sir. It suks Romo didn’t have a better team, coaching staffs or front offices. It is hard to compare the two. One has had a coach capable of getting his team to a SBmost of his career while the other never did. I believe Romo would have won even more SB's than Brees in NO under Payton while Brees would have had similar lack of success here under Garrett. #coachingmatters
BravoI would argue that Romo had similar accuracy and touch and added better mobility and elusiveness(not to mention height). Much of this fan base really did not deserve Romo... I wonder what could have been had he been traded to the Saints when Sean Payton wanted him.
The biggest shame is that Jerry let Payton out the door. Sean Payton as the Dallas head coach after Parcells probably makes some deep runs
Did you even read the OP? Obviously not.Your trying to frame the argument now.
I stated in a following post they had some similarities but their career marks don’t. For a couple seasons was Romo possibly in the same league . Yea maybe. I’ll give you that.
Like I mentioned above I can’t imagine anyone but some Cowboy fans who’d take Romo over Brees. But your certainly entitled to your opinion.
I wonder how many fans across the league would take Romo over Brees?
Was San Diego's FO all that.
If you take out Cowboys and Saints fans and asked other NFL fans who’s better they would say Brees. I’m a huge Cowboys fan. But in all fairness, Brees is better.Your trying to frame the argument now.

Hmm... I wonder if Romo hadn't started out as a mobile quarterback, if his longevity would've been better. XD well then again, some of those years when the Cowboys had one of the worst offensive lines, that would've killed just about any quarterback's longevity.
So because Brees didn't do well in his first team, he's worse? Lmao. How about Romo's failures with his only team? He had plenty. 0-3 in divisional round games. But yes, lets keep moving the goal posts and making excuses for a middle of the pact QB who gets severely overrated by Cowboys fans. Not all, though. But many.
I understand but these threads often deter and I was responding to using this ranking system which I believe is obviously flawed.Did you even read the OP? Obviously not.
SB wins — even in 2070 — will always matter more than QB rating.Repeat what I said. If I compare two players from the year 2070 who have 140 ratings, as long as they are from the same time period who cares?
It’s fine... like I said I compared the ratings of two guys who played in the same era. The thread is about who was better on the field, and in their primes. I don’t why anyone would say that Romo is really even close to Brees from a career standpoint.I understand but these threads often deter and I was responding to using this ranking system which I believe is obviously flawed.
I went on in another post to address the OP.
I didn’t mean to snap at you but I’ve seen some fans use this ranking to place Romo like he was one of the GOAT which is IMO totally flawed.
He made the Pro Bowl one season in San Diego before his injury then signed with Saints as FA.and again, what did Brees do with SD? Keep in mind, Brees was drafted. and what did SD get to show for it?

Chargers decided to let him go. Was afraid to give second contract because of injury history.
Of course. It’s fine... like I said I compared the ratings of two guys who played in the same era. The thread is about who was better on the field, and in their primes. I don’t why anyone would say that Romo is really even close to Brees from a career standpoint.
Brees has the talent taken in 1st round but was often injured in San Diego. Saints took a chance he could remain healthy. The raw talent was always there.as did many teams. If Payton wasnt a QB genius , Brees has a tougher road.
And I find that to be BS. Teams win and lose. Period. It's absurd to believe individual players do in a game where 22 are on the field at the same time and all are off the field half the time.
Id take Brees too, but Romo certainly was not a middle of the pack QBSo because Brees didn't do well in his first team, he's worse? Lmao. How about Romo's failures with his only team?
