So basically you choose not to believe legitimately sourced and verified reporting because you don't like Dez.

Ok then.

I don't believe it happened in the way they said it did. You can believe your hero Dez received a mega deal that he turned down if you like.

He wouldn't turn that offer down if it was the only offer he had. Surely even Dez really isn't THAT stupid. Lol

gm's all around the league have a bad taste in their mouth after he DID spurn the Ravens. Its more than likely HOW HE conducted himself when the Ravens contacted him and his agent. He's not a bad dude..just uses very poor judgement based off his emotions on a particular day. NOT GOOD BUSINESS.When the talent and work ethic doesn't jive with his negatives, teams don't want to touch him.

Hey! Hey! Hey! It's Fat Dez.

Training camp is about a week away and Dez doesn't even have a job stocking groceries or washing jocks yet!

Poor Dezzie Wezzie!!!
as my late father always use to say, " looks like somone just **** in his mess kit." That sums up the Dez sitch.

Dez severely overrated how valuable he actually is and how other GMs think of him. GMs have seen what he has did since his contract extension in 2015. Especially after his injury. He's been pretty mediocre. No one is interested in him.

Well it looks like Dez is so "patient" with evaluating all those fictitious offers that he won't have a team before training camp! Ha ha ha.

Rappaport claims more than just a few teams have contacted him to talk. He told them he's not ready to sit down yet. Speculation is he wants to skip training camp.

Platinum Guarantee:D: He'll be on a roster for the Week 1 game.

Hes not my hero, and Im fine with him being gone.
But come on, V, of course he got the offer.
His problem (and agent’s) is that because it was almost right away, he assumed there was so ething better coming, or with a better team.

Why would he want to skip training camp with a new team? He would be an idiot to do that.
Why would he not want to "talk"? Does it take that much energy to talk?
Why would anyone who doesn't have a job put off a legitimate contact?

Sounds like and smells like bull **** to me.

That's plausible. But its also plausible that the Ravens and him cooked this up trying to stimulate interest. No one else seems to have even given Dez the time of day. Which one is the truth? We will never really know.

If you have to ask why a veteran player would like to skip training camp, you are out of touch with today's players.

What exactly about Dez did you notice that makes you think he'd attend a training camp just because it was the smartest thing to do when starting on a new roster?

How is that plausible? What would be the Ravens motivation to conspire with Dez to falsely inflate his value? What do the Ravens get out of that?

Its an idiotic move, no doubt. Pretty consistent with his overall lack of effort in general. Lazy and not the brightest bulb.

I'm not suggesting he's handling this smart at all.

I'm just defaulting to believing the only legitimate source (that isn't Dez) that is claiming to know what has been going on. Especially since his info is coming from the GMs side, not from Dez.

Teams will occasionally feign interest in a player to stimulate interest in a player when they have interest in actually signing that player. It happens a lot, especially intra division. If the Cowboys know the Eagles want a player and the Cowboys don't the Cowboys might still speak with the player to get the Eagles to bid against themselves get the Eagles to bid against themselves.

In this case the Ravens may have been doing Dez a favor, and it costs the Ravens nothing. Like I said, no one REALLY knows if a bona fide offer was actually made to Dez.

Its certainly plausible that it happened just like it was reported. But so much of that stuff is propaganda it is difficult to know how much of it is legitimate.
