gm's all around the league have a bad taste in their mouth after he DID spurn the Ravens. Its more than likely HOW HE conducted himself when the Ravens contacted him and his agent. He's not a bad dude..just uses very poor judgement based off his emotions on a particular day. Dez severely overrated how valuable he actually is and how other GMs think of him. GMs have seen what he has did since his contract extension in 2015. Especially after his injury. He's been pretty mediocre. No one is interested in him.

I'm just defaulting to believing the only legitimate source (that isn't Dez) that is claiming to know what has been going on. Especially since his info is coming from the GMs side, not from Dez.

Teams will occasionally feign interest in a player to stimulate interest in a player when they have interest in actually signing that player. It happens a lot, especially intra division. If the Cowboys know the Eagles want a player and the Cowboys don't the Cowboys might still speak with the player to get the Eagles to bid against themselves get the Eagles to bid against themselves.

In this case the Ravens may have been doing Dez a favor, and it costs the Ravens nothing. Like I said, no one REALLY knows if a bona fide offer was actually made to Dez.

Its certainly plausible that it happened just like it was reported. But so much of that stuff is propaganda it is difficult to know how much of it is legitimate.
