Just another reason I'm glad we drafted Zeke

After having successfully separated the player and the person, I would take Ramsey over Elliott because CB's that good, mouthy or not, are harder to find than good RB's. I like watching the players and can ignore the personalities after experience with Irvin, Sanders and Owens.

I agree but consider the strength of our team, the bland pass schemes, and a QB who is a solid but not prolific passer.

Jalen Ramsey is arguably the best defensive player in football already, and he'll be in that category for the next decade.

Zeke will likely be gone in 2-3 years. Or, he won't be elite anymore anyway. Guys his size don't last long at that position.

Still, I'm glad we drafted Zeke and I was a big proponent of it.

Because we've seen what this offense looks like without an elite running back after Murray left and when Zeke was out last year.

I hated Joey Bosa.. He would probably be my pick if I could have any defensive player in the league.

Maybe not for our team because we have so much upside at Right End but Joey Bosa is incredible and I missed on that one.

I thought he would be a Greg Ellis type. I was wrong.

I've heard reports that if the front office didn't select Ezekiel Elliot with the 4th overall pick in 2016, Jalen Ramsey would have been the pick.

Ramsey has quickly become the type of player I despise- arrogant, cocky, and just an all around loud mouth. He rips other players on a regular basis and just seems like he will eventually turn into a toxic player in the locker room, if he hasn't already become one.

I don't care how good Ramsey becomes. No player is worth those kinds of constant distractions.

So glad we went with Zeke.

Back then I was pissed we drafted Zeke over Ramsey.

Right now I'm still pissed we drafted Zeke over Ramsey.

Such a stupid mistake.

I do not believe that Ramsey was ever the pick over Zeke.
Zeke went #4, Ramsey #5. So why did they not select Ramsey.

I'm glad Zekes on our team but i'm just not a fan of his like I was for D. Ware, Dez, Romo.

Something about Zeke is unlikable to me. He may be cool in person but I doubt it. Unless you're a teammate of his I bet he sucks to be around.
There is something different about Elliott or his father wouldn't have quit his job to move to Columbus at the request of Meyer, according to reports.

He seems sullen at times and withdrawn into himself and people like that are a crapshoot when they get a few drinks in them. According to what I read about his college days, liquor was a problem for him as it can be for a lot of young people but if he has some emotional issues as well, that's a fire that can burn out of control.

He seems to be out of view now and that's a good thing but he needs to keep it that way. I have little doubt that the St. Patty's Day incident that hit nationally influenced the league in their decision. And once the local media gets the scent, they stay on it.

He's suspended right now so the potential to end up off the field is there.

Yeah, something tells me no one is going to lose much sleep over Jalen getting a week off to relax in mid August. I can assure you, he’s probably enjoying the hell out of it. Not a bad ploy as it turns out!

Zeke has a bigger impact on his team than almost any other player in the league, including Ramsey. That might change as the young Cowboys mature and learn to win with or without him. But right now, he is extremely impactful to the Cowboys' success. Not sure a cornerback, any cornerback, can make that kind of difference.

Yes it was.

Zeke makes a huge difference on this team. Ramsey would not have. He benefited from an overall pretty good defense last year. His 1st year there, he really did not do much. He cannot carry that defense by himself. But Zeke has a huge impact on our offense.

Take off the dislike / like glasses for players, and look as to how they help a team.

I just responded with something similar.

Until he does something stupid during the season.

It's hard to project these big-school guys because you don't know if the talent around them make them look better than they were. Often, that's the case, but not with Bosa. I didn't want him either, but he's a good-un'.

So it was a ruse why they suspended him, it really was 6 games for the ST. P days incident, and not that false allegations of abuse.

Seems this thread was started to get a Zeke bash thread going. Well not the reason, but turning into one.
