Imagine Dak without Zeke

If we had taken Ramsey instead of Zeke, I doubt Dak would be where he is without Zeke.
If he didn't have the threat that Zeke provided in his 1st year after taking over for Romo, it's highly likely that he would be fighting to remain the starting/Franchise QB.
Not having Zeke would've hindered his development due to teams not having to worry about the run threat that Zeke provided. A lesser RB would've been hard pressed to provide that same threat.
Zeke is a special player and what he offers is not easily found. We saw last year what things likely would've been like.
I think having Zeke has allowed Dak to develop into a top tier QB, potentially. Having the luxury to use the play action and getting that extra time due to the Defense having to worry about Zeke has been crucial to Dak's development. The Offensive line deserves a lot of credit but Zeke is the straw that stirs the drink.

That's only one side of the coin. The other side is that Ramsey would go a long way to solidifying our secondary and defense. He is the leader of that defense. Dak with a top defense would be a wonderful thing. Then maybe we don't take Owuzie with the 2nd round pick last year. Maybe we take a runner like Kareem Hunt, Dalvin Cook, or another great young back.

Backs are much easier to find then shut down corners. Personally, I take Ramsey 9 out of 10 times.

What do you think Zeke would have looked like last year with Kellen Moore at QB and Chaz Green in for Tyrone Smith?

While that is true, the Cowboys would have added a RB at some point in that draft. He wouldn't have been the quality of player Zeke is obviously. So the real question is, would Dak be where he is with that RB and the Cowboys with Ramsey?

Or Alvin Kamara.

Twas a good year for running backs not taken round 1.

2016 draft:
1-Ramsey
2-Smith
3-Ngakoue
4-Jordan Howard
4-Prescott

That would have been insane

I don't think the 90's Cowboys win it all 3 times without Smith. No doubt Zeke makes life easier for Dak and Dak will have to elevate his game to help open things up for Zeke.

Our passing game will decide whether we average in the teens or the high 20s this year and we're all hoping for the latter. Also Zeke could see a significant dip in YPT if Linehan doesn't crack open the playbook past page 1 once in awhile.

still productive but we would have lost more games see Dmac in 15 still got nice production but you cant win without both they feed off each other but definitely the rookie QBs get a huge lift with a Pro Bowl RB..i doubt zeke loses much momentum because he is just that good but the TEAm needs good players at both positions to score, hollow yards dont put up points..chaz green = 1 and 30 a lot LOL zekes get back 15 but punt lol..

I don't disagree. Dak has to make defense pay when they choose to stack the line, if he can do that defense will be forced to play off and it will in turn open things up in the run game. Dallas has to become a 2 edge sword on offense and to do that Dak has to step up. I think he can and will.

Like he did the first 24 games of his career?

That defense is down right nasty. Ramsey is talking that talk. And that D is walking that walk. They are an exciting team.

The Cowboys and Jaguars have many similarities Except right now they have proven to be a better team. And Ramsy is the reason why. Hes once in a generation. And hes vicky as all hell.

I am actually setting my QB ratings according to his assessments. If this is how he is going to conduct himself then I'll say this. He is gonna have one hella carear and I am gonna have the Popcorn ready. Its gonna be fun to watch. The kid already got better. Just by natural progression and now hes at a comfort level to speak out in such away. He must be feeling his oates.

But as far as Ezekiel goes. I wouldn't want another running back. Hes big and strong and just fast enough. Only other back maybe old take is Gurley but even then I like the build of Zeke. Solid. Its important for longevity and availability. I love when he comes flying out of a hole and those little DBs have to make business decisions. I love being a Cowboys Fan.

I think this year we will get some amazing play out of CB especially Byron. Hes a classy guy and the hard unselfish grunt work he put in with the move to Saftey. Is gonna all pay off now. He may be all pro this year and that's no bull malarkey. I wholeheartedly believe.

So Zeke and Jones( My projections) and added bonus of Chidobe nah I wouldn't trade it for Ramsey and said ? At RB.

Nah Cowboys are good

Its not about wanting another back. Its about value and the type of team we have. This team NEEDS corners, leaders, and defense. And with the skill of the Oline we dont necessarily need a Zeke Elliott to have a great running game.

Jones an all pro? :lmao2::lmao2::lmao::lmao:

Now that was funny. A guy that completely bombed at safety is going to become an all pro at corner? And why? Because he has had a good TC? Talk about a stretch.

And even if it WAS true then we would have two all pros at corner in Jones and Ramsey. Then we would never have used a 2nd rounder on Awuzie and could have used that elsewhere. Maybe another great back.

And maybe we don't need Jaylon to have great CBs. Give the youngsters time to gel.
