Eh he's good. Played fine on the road with no weapons against a good D and spotty protection. Sorry guys, you aren't getting rid of him over this one.

No where in my post did I indicate Prescott was the reason we lost the 2016 divisional game.

One could argue it was short sighted to win 8 games and forget what the team had, with 10 years worth of evidence, sitting on the bench.

My point is one of whether not allowing Romo to come back in 2016 to complete his career, which could have continued into 2017 and/or 2018 if he had stayed healthy, was a mistake. Instead, Romo's career was ended to continue on with something that at the time looked very promising. Whether this was the correct move (not just for 2016) will not be able to be judged until Prescott's career with Dallas is either successful or complete.
Apologies. I was not implying you thought Prescott lost the game. My facts are simply a reflection of what others who agreed with Jones' decision did not consider at the time. I should have been more clear in posting those points.

I do agree with your overall comments.

Dak looked real tight in the 1st half Oline was not helping either . WR were not getting open and we had trouble running the ball .

He played better in spurts in the 2nd half when we went into hurry up but nothing to write home about . Garrett chose protecting the players from injury over preparing them to play together in preseason . This is what that looks like with a young QB and new WRs when you do that .

That said by game 3 it will probably be as good as its going to get . As long as the Oline dosent open holes for Zeke and provide manageable down and distance its not going to look good . Dak is not the guy who can convert 2nd or 3rd and long consistently and that's what he had tonight most of the game .

Romo ruined it for him and JG and Linny are lousy. Go routes on the last series and the Oline sucks?!? Really? Smh....

Dak lovers like to blame everything else... Coach, Oline, other teams D, etc... Look in the mirror. The guy has a weak arm and cannot throw accurately. If you don't see this then what you think is your future franchise QB... will set your team back for many years.

The chances of White ending up being a franchise QB are very low.
You’d rather just go with this offense all year if Dak doesn’t improve? No...you drafted White, you get him in there and get him reps, and see what happens. If he stinks too? You keep drafting till you find your man at QB. What you don’t do,is go...”...the chances are slim.” So what? QBs are high risk anyways....just the way it is,or everyone would have a good one. Rather take a stab on a potential maybe, than keep with a guy if he’s not improving.

I feel ya pappy. You get a lot of backlash around here. It’s probably how you present things but hey things don’t look good for Quattro right now

He kinda drives me nuts. He's like the guy on the corner yelling at everyone to repent every day. Even if that guy is right some day, and the world ends, it doesn't mean he was less repetitive and annoying every other day.

I agree with most of Pappy's points, although not to that extreme, and I still feel like his posts are assaulting me.

I think Dak is bad but there has to be much more wrong here. Ryan Fitzpatrick absolutely torched the Saints today. Ryan Fitzpatrick. Dak is not the answer but the coaches are a bigger problem.

White isn't ready to play. Putting him in now would just ruin him.

He pretty much sucks. I don’t know how many more games you all need. It was apparent last season.
His rookie season was the same as well if you looked past the wins. The way he “wins” now is the same way he did as a rookie. Very little improvement and teams have figured out how to stop what he was doing as a rookie.

He’s inaccurate and there’s not much you can do with that as a QB.

Dak has been completely neutered by this coaching staff. The things he was good at have all but been taken away. He will rarely run anymore or roll-out which he is good at. They are asking him to be a pocket passer which he is not.

Dak sucked today but the scheme and Linehan don't exactly put him position to succeed. The recievers routes are terrible and repetitive, every team can see what is coming.

I said I would not judge him until seasons end to see if he is worth a contract but today doesn't help.

giants have an awful offensive line, but barkley did okay behind it. and Eli isn't scared to throw it up

Curious on your thoughts about how he missed that wide open 12 yard out on 4th and 10 to basically end their last best hope of scoring. After all the back and forth this offseason/preseason and flack you took from his supporters, it seemed kind of poetic that he missed it to basically lose the game.
He doesn't anticipate breaks. He doesn't throw in rhythm. He has to see a receiver wide open to throw it to him. By the time they're open, it's too late.

Dak is just not an NFL starting quarterback yet. I doubt he ever will be. I hope I'm wrong about that one day.
