Receivers Not Getting Open

Oh stop- Gallup should have made that catch and QBs throw it like that all the time
when you are running full speed, and the qb throws it behind you and at or below the waist, thats a damn hard catch. If Dak hits him in stride... he runs for days on that play.... but I know, Gallup only had 10 yards of separation on that play

I refuse to believe, with all the people who have come through Dallas under Garrett, the receivers, the OL, the QB, that no one other than an elite Dez could get open regularly and it's THEIR fault every year.
The constant is Garrett/Linehan and the playcalling/system. The issue is, talent has carries this team to some very good years regardless and it's bough this staff time and clout. There will be no masking it this year. The talent isn't good enough.

I agree. Yes we have QB issues, WR issues, etc, but Garrett / Linehan are the one constant.

I told myself there is no way, even a full blown Dak apologist, who would post defending that infield grounder Dak threw to Jarwin standing alone. Dak even did his patented full blown wind up, contorting his body to try and put some 20 yard velocity on that epic failure. Dont be surprised if he loses a sponsor over that. That doesn't inspire me to buy yogurt.
Nice try though.

They may not have been consistently open but they were open and not given an opportunity to catch the ball. That 4th Down play for one Thompson was open and behind the sticks and Dak Pyrite missed him.

We’re at worst a 8-8 team. Just the first game and all you said was true but it’s still the first game.

At WORST 8-8? Well you may be right, but at this point I wouldn't bet the farm on it. The defense played pretty well, but the offense is soooo dysfunctional. They'll need to do some serious improving to win 8 games the way they looked tonight.

He was not good. But neither were our WRs.
People trying to convince themselves this is just a Dak problem are being foolish.

True, Dak was a problem, but he wasn't the only problem.

What proof do you have that the receivers were a problem? I saw one dropped pass and a QB struggle with accuracy all afternoon

What proof do you have that they were good and it was just Dak?

You are letting your Dak hatred go overboard.

Our WRs are mediocre with only Gallup having any real upside at this point. And our TEs are mediocre too.

Basically this offense is led by a bleh coaching staff, a bleh QB and some bleh pass catchers.

I never said the receivers were good. You truly cant tell if they were bad or not unless you’ve seen the all-22.

The QB on the other hand...Stevie Wonder saw how bad he was today

They call it Air Garett but Dak friendly. They ran the same plays with Romo but 2-4 yards farther downfield. Outs and Curls, with one guy going deep.

Romo used to scramble forever til someone got open. He had the same problem.
