Signed by Cowboys Cowboys sign G Xavier Su'a-Filo

So teams never check medical reports on veterans but they do make every move to save a few hundred K when they are 13 Million under the cap.

Sure, why not.

This same team that's "$13 million under the cap" just cut their kicker to save money, didn't they?

While his replacement missed his only attempt, right?

You're digging the hole deeper and deeper here. With nothing to "win".

We both know why this signing happened after week one's game, so that any salary for this guy wouldn't be guaranteed.

Stop wasting yours, mine, and everyone else's time trying to spin it as anything more than what it is.

Why didn't we sign him two weeks ago when we first talked to him? This coaching staff is so lousy that they can't evaluate talent correctly before they embarrass themselves on game day?

They cut a kicker that missed two extra points last year.

Lets follow the Stash logic here:

1 - Only cheapskate teams who don't care about winning wait a week to sign a player rather than signing them a day after they are cut.

2 - Dan Bailey is awesome.

3 - No NFL team has signed Dan Bailey.

He's not a bust. He needs a stronger base. He needs an offseason of weight training.

The guy he was up against (forget his name) is no slouch. He's one of the better DT's in the league. Williams isn't ready for that level of competition yet.
Yeah I thought this was clear from the minute he was drafted and was clearly re-emphasized as we watched him get bull-rushed in preseason. We knew he was not quite strong enough to anchor against elite interior DL talent, but the technique otherwise doesn't appear to be too poor and he's still a kid so i think there's still a lot of promise.

Thought the Seahwaks signed Bailey?

I’m not 100%, but pretty sure so we do not have to guarantee his contract

Wasn't Su'a Filo the o-lineman in college that used to Tomahawk chop d-lineman?

If that what you're getting, the issue lies entirely with you, not with me.

FWIW, Bailey has 4 offers. His agent says he wants to go to the right team(location contender?) over money.

Sure, but does it take a 7 year veteran a week to decide if Seattle is a nice town or not? (Rake, I don't see anything online that he has signed anywhere).

The statement by his agent could be true but its also the typical spin of saying "We have a ton of offers and are considering the right fit". The Jets worked out Bailey but kept Jason Myers instead of signing him. The demand is nothing close to what Cowboy fans are assuming.

Either way, Stash's logic on this is a trainwreck.

Yea, who knows how much is true when it comes to agents speaking.
Does Bailey have kids? Could just be something where he wants his wife/kids to be happy moving somewhere from anywhere from a few months to years.
Thought at first it was reported Bailey rejected the Jets, but you know twitter reporters aren't always correct trying to be first.
