Tell me why you’d pay Dak?

He can’t throw guys open.

He can’t accurately throw Down field.

He doesn’t make WR’s and TE’s better around
him.

He holds on to the ball too long.

If things aren’t going perfect for him he looks like a deer in headlights.

We have all admitted he is not good when Zeke isn’t dominating.

So my question is why are we going to pay this guy 100 million dollars ?

Who said we are going to pay him $100 million? He will play this season and the team will judge from there.

No one will pay Dak. I think we should be worried about finding a solution if it is no Dak.
At least we don’t have to worry about a 5th year option like Tampa or Tennessee.
The positive is that we should have a bunch of cap space to build up the rest of the team.

DO NOT under estimate the stupidity of one Jerry Jones. Stupid is as stupid does and Jerry has a very long history of stupid. you could see a mega deal for Dak, just saying

I really like the guy and I was certainly guilty of getting caught up in all the hype and success of 2016. He has a lot going for him as a man and a football player, but DCs have caught up with him and the eye test is not casting him in good light as an NFL QB.

I think the coaching staff is also making life more difficult for him by way of scheme/playcalling, but Dak is inaccurate, lacks confidence in the pocket and doesn't have a great arm.

Can't pay the man. He is a back up, unless we are missing something significant that is yet to come, but I just don't see any significant change in his game suddenly appearing.

Give an example of a mega deal Jerry has given to a player that hadn't proven anything.

Fortunately, they don't have to. He's got two years to go.

Unfortunately, we have to sit through those two years as it plays out into almost certain disaster.

I wouldn’t pay him.

Oh no someone is criticizing the golden boy and pointing out the obvious! You’re just a bunch of meanie heads! Haters!

Face it, this thread is what Streetwise indicated. Nobody is talking about giving Dak a $100 million contract, yet the OP made that up for the purpose of bashing Dak and Jerry over something that isn't real. A person doesn't have to be particularly fond of either Dak or Jerry to recognize that.

If he doesn't turn out to be the QB of the future, you pay him as a backup QB - which is what he was drafted for anyway.

Yeah at this point I'd say he needs to re-earn the starting position in the off-season, unless they trade for someone better than Rush this year.

because Jerry just said
"We've got a quarterback that is somewhere between [Jared Goff] and Cam Newton. He can do some of what both of those guys do. You're going to see it."

Until he throws the team on his back and starts winning difficult games and postseason games, he’s getting back up QB type money.
