1. A weak low pressure center has formed a couple of hundred miles
east-southeast of Brownsville, Texas. In addition, showers and
thunderstorms in association with this system have become more
numerous today. While upper-level winds are generally conducive for
development of a tropical depression, the system only has about a
day before it reaches the western Gulf coast. An Air Force Reserve
Hurricane Hunter aircraft is currently en route to investigate the
low. Regardless of development, heavy rainfall and gusty winds are
expected across portions of northeastern Mexico and Texas on Friday
and Saturday. Interests there should monitor the progress of this
system, and refer to products from their local weather office.

Im in Los Angeles, many of the local stuff, north to San Fran, south to San Diego is, sadly, regional. If you're near Vermont, you get the holy grail of beer, Heady Topper, tho pal

I see you're in Amarillo, Khartun. Lots of fine local micro breweries out there, I'd have to believe. How close are you to San Antone or Austin? (Not being too familiar with Texas geography... I know of the RGV and South Padre Island, but just because of my pals in here )

He's still in the hospital on a ventilator. He's holding his own. He had pneumonia . But I've been told his latest X-ray was good and he was initiating his own breathing and has been able to occasionally respond by head nods and movement of his arms. At this point I just don't know what's going to happen.

Mmm, up and down. One day Uncle is good, another not so good and still in hospital. I'm going to pray for Uncle PA. Please keep us posted. Hang in there.

I'm actually quite a distance from that area. I'm up in the panhandle of Texas. We don't have many micros here unfortunately but we get stuff from all over. We are pretty centrally located between Dallas, Denver, Austin, Oklahoma City, Albuquerque...

I'm taking a business trip in March to Asheville, NC. I'm pretty excited about it. It supposedly has more breweries per capita than anywhere in the US.
