I'm starting to dislike Cowboys fans?

If this was NY or Philly, the news media would have helped the fans by now forcing Jerry's hand in doing something about The Clapping Carrot. Fans here have no voice....and don't say stay away from the games, because 40% of the tickets get bought up by visitors anyway.....and Jerry seems to not care.

Read the blurb. I think the reason that the complaining has reached new levels is that virtually everyone believed we had our future QB in Dak. Even I thought he would be at the very least a top 10 - 15 QB by now. Some of our fans were working on the bust for Canton before he finished his rookie season. So we jettisoned Romo (much to my dismay) and handed the keys to the kingdom to Dak. And he has flushed them down the toilet (at least so far). This QB transition has become a kick in the nuts, and nobody can possibly be happy about it. We could easily be looking at another Quincy/Hutch/Stoerner/Wright/Leaf/Henson... I just threw up in my mouth. People actually finished the 16 season writing about how great the 17 season would be, and it started out decently. Dak played solid football for the first half. Since then it's been a train wreck. Now even the most die hard Dak homers are starting to feel like we might be well and truly screwed, waiting for Jones to luck into another undrafted QB to give us some hope.

I only have a couple issues with what you said, with all due respect:

The Cowboys actually did Romo a huge favor. They kept him around a month into free agency, giving him all the time he needed before he decided to retire. This was Romo's decision; not Dallas'. Actually, Romo's body made the decision for him.

As for Dak, I have a hard time believing the first 24 games of his career were a mirage. At that point he was 18-6 as a starter and had a 39-8 touchdown to pick ratio. Since then he is 4-5 as a starter with 6 touchdowns and nine picks.

Prescott's decline since may just be the normal progression of a young QB, it may be due to the sudden pass protection struggles, or he may be on his way out of the NFL. The rest of the season holds the answer.

I think it is natural to feel frustration when you like a team and see them continue to make poor decisions that are detrimental to the team's success.

I don't get what people get out of lying to themselves so they can defend some player or management.

Praise what's good. Acknowledge what is not. Always hope for a win.

Im going to clue you in on something. People don't complain about winning. Pretty easy way to shut up all the complainers. I know you don't care how inept this franchise has been the last 25 years, but many of us do.

I'm going to clue you in on something. People often get swept up in winning and don't see the warts. Many of the people who hate Jerry/front office/coaches were trumpeting the, "Dak will take us to the promised land," tune in 2016. I don't mind complaints as long as they have merit.

The thing is, people need to vent. Let em vent. When you get things off your chest, it prevents things like, physically fighting, domestic abuse, etc... You've gotta let it out, and there's nothing wrong with it.

I actually like my man Waving, and I actually like a lot of posters on here unlike 6 to 10 years ago. I used to be real bitter and would fire off on folks big time. I was nearly banned from CZ years ago but I toned it down. Age gets to you man, you don't sweat things like you used to. I used to be real torn up about the Cowboys losses and depressed until the next game, now I just come on and whine like everyone else. Somehow that makes me feel better.
