Maybe a QB or TE?

I think it will be Schultz, but Chris Covington wouldn't surprise me either. Maybe we finally put Datone Jones on IR. Those are the other positions where we are a little long and can trim depth.

However, I find the timing of this move interesting and don't think we'll stick with seven receivers very long. Something is up with the position IMO.

The problem is Butler is a JAG and likely isn't going to yield any real positive results either.

I do chuckle though at people talking about late round picks like they are pure gold. No offense, but it's insane to argue that a 5th rounder is more valuable in building a roster than flipping it for a guy who is an elite WR if he can stay on the field (and if he couldn't, you'd get a 7th rounder back from Cleveland).

There was little to no risk in Gordon. Butler is just another in a long line of cheap, bargain bin moves that more often than not, fizzle out for this franchise.
This assumes that Dak can get the ball to Gordon. There is a reason Dak and Dez had terrible
Then why let him walk in the offseason when you were building a "dak friendly" offense?
Let's see what his contract is now that he has been cut and looking for a job versus what he wanted to stay. That may explain it.

I have to think that they're trying to offer up one of the ones they have - for absolutely anything they can get.

I would rather dump Jarwin

I'm telling you, lol, TWill is supposed to get suspended. That's the likely roster spot he ends up filling due to TWill's suspension. I suspect (have not heard) that TWill may not be vrought back after the suspension. We only kept him because his salary was guaranteed. If we cut him he would have been paid his full salary.

We are defintely off the hook on his salary during the term of the suspension, but the guarantee may be gone because of the suspension, and if so, I suspect he is a gonner.

I have no idea why this is necessary.

He's not better than Austin, Hurns, Beasley, Gallup, Thompson, or even Williams.

Why?

I don’t understand it either but I’m hearing the cowboys are also bringing him back because they’re possibly anticipating that the league is getting ready to come down with the hammer on Terence Williams and he’ll get a suspension and we j is when they suspend one of our guys to expect the worst case scenario. Williams might get more than 4 games.

You need to provide some evidence of this, otherwise I see it as trying to spread a false claim.

Where are you "hearing" this?

The NFL has had months to review every aspect of Williams situation and no suspension has happened.

Where?

Two mentions now and I've seen no evidence behind it?

Sirius Satellite Radio said yesterday that it appeared imminent. NFL Network. That makes sense as to why we would bring Butler in.
1. Familarity with the system and Dak
2. Cheap
3. Serves the same role essentially as TWill
4. He would probably take what he could get short term, if we decide to bring TWill back.

I think the TWill suspension rumor is the most likely but if its a player pick I think it will either be Ibrahim Campbell now that Woods is healthy or Dalton Schultz. If its Schultz he can hopefully be moved to the PS.

I don't "need" to do anything. I don't care who thinks it is a false claim, really. Take it for what its worth, or not. I'm passing through information on a message board. This isn't the supreme court and I'm not really accountable for whether someone believes it or not.

It's largely a pointless move that doesn't make us better.

I mean if you wanted a low risk move that could actually make us better, then they should have flipped a 5th rounder for Gordon.
They obviously disagree. And of course it makes them better.

Makes me laugh. The same people that talk smack about Gregory and are over his issues are now mad that we didn't bring in Gordon. Haha

The people that complained about Gregory are largely the people claiming we shouldn't have looked at Gordon.

Actually, there are rules in place about just such a thing:

#19 - You will not post fake, false or wild rumors or news.

So yea, you are "accountable."

But other people have mentioned that they've seen similar rumors, and that's good enough for me.

It smacks of desperation doesn't it? And unfortunately is not unexpected of this regime. Its not like we're taking on TO, Rolando McClain, or even Greg Hardy.
