News: Earl Thomas may not play?

“A team official said that Thomas had not been traded and reiterated Carroll's statement that Thomas was dealing with a personal issue.

Two teammates I spoke with would not go into what happened Friday with Thomas but both said that they expected him to play against the Cowboys.“

Seattle beating us wouldn't put us in a position to want to be buyers standing at 1-2. They won't let ET leave for nothing. It wouldn't be smart to pass up a 2nd rd when you'll only get a 3rd rd comp pick if he leaves as a FA.

I would be FURIOUS if we gave up all that. Jourdan might not fit our scheme but he’s a good young corner. And we need to play Rico to see what he’s got...not sell low.

All Seattle is giving us in return is (at the most) 13 weeks of Thomas.

Try 4-5 years for a Hall of Fame safety.

The drama of this whole situation is delicious. ET is paying hardball against a hardball owner. I can understand Seattle's owner not wanting to give in to ET, it sets a precedent that other players might try. On the other hand Seattle turning down a 2nd round pick, if they really did, is stupid. I can't remember a stand-off quite like this.
