Actually I have provided much that not only why it was ultimately Jerry’s decision but why. Do I need to rehash my opinion on Jerry’s PR decision to go with Dak again?
No, you've provided what you think happened. I'm not interested in what you think happened. I am interested in finding out what actually happened. That's why I went searching for any information that I could find in order to have an objective opinion on what happened. I shared with you the only thing I can find.

If you have some objective information you can share with me, I'd be happy to review it and modify my opinion, if necessary.

That's certainly not the way I remember it, but it makes no difference. I don't mind admitting I was wrong about Dak. Dak sucks, but I'm still not going to look backwards and wish for Romo who was an injury waiting to happen. Let's get a new QB.
I agree we needed to be looking for Romo’s heir apparent and why I lobbied to draft him in 2016 draft because was uncertain with Romo’s health.

Initially I thought Jerry would bring Romo back too soon which I argued against but when he decided not to bring him back at all or given a shot at 2017 I disagreed. Perhaps that’s where you confused my flipping ?

Perhaps. It doesn't matter. Your opinion of what happened isn't going to change my opinion or the reasoning behind why I came to my opinion.

And for all those Dak lovers that are whining about the poor Oline play thats the reason for his horrible stat line and play in general, welcome to Tonys' world of being surrounded by incompetence. 2016 is over. Welcome to reality, Dak. Try turning this chicken **** into chickem salad

When Dak begin struggling in last few games against better defenses I became concerned with his downfield effectiveness .

And then when I saw Romo’s cameo return it influenced my thoughts. It was then I knew we should reinsert Romo for as long as he could go.

Granted Prescott is playing badly, is the O line NOT a piece of the problem?

It sure is. My point was that none of these people gave Tony a pass with some of his horrible supporting cast he had over the years. They just keep talking about how he only won 2 playoff games in his tenure. Dak is a 4th round pick and had a great rookie season and has been on a steady decline ever since. And Tony was UNDRAFTED and lasted 10 years as the starter and threw for more yards than any other Cowboys QB ever. I guess if you judge by those parameters, DP has a ways to go before you even put him in the same sentence with Romo.

His supporting casts were far from horrible. I get that there were weaknesses at times, but IMO that is tossed around way too often. I wish Prescott had Owens and Witten in their prime (HOFers) and Bryant in his.

Apparently Romo made them greater as Dez was more ineffective without him.

Romo even elevated Laurent Robinson and Miles Austin whose careers plummeted after leaving Dallas.

Daks Winning Wave his Rookie season is what elevated him. Without those winning ways he’s been reduced greatly. It’s not all his fault nor was it all his credit for the success .

If Romo is criticized for his lack of playoff success then Dak will bare the same burden.

In the meantime we have the 30th ranked offense which really shouldn’t be a total shock since we were 26th ranked passing last year.

But when you consider we have the leagues leading rusher it is a head scratcher especially when it was sold these recievers coming in were going to be more Dak friendly.

Not directed at you but your post spurred this thought.

Is it Prescott's fault that the NFL rushing leader fumbled in the red zone, missed an important blitz that got Prescott hammered and stepped out of bounds for another sure TD?
You probably think so.
See, as bad as Prescott played the offense around him did him zero favors.
Dez fell off before Prescott was even here. I guess you can hoist Romo up for "making" Robinson and Austin's careers so elite!

Yeah, but he was the offense, not part of it. You're telling me that with defenses just pinning their ears back and coming every down, that Dak would beat them. No way. He doesn't throw an accurate ball and never has. It was the knock on him coming out of College. If it wasn't, he'd of gone alot higher. Most of his big pass plays he's had have been screen passes that Zeke took 60+ yds to.the house or off of broken plays. Tony didn't. have Zeke either, or anything close for that matter. Which means it all fell on him. Dak could never handle that kind of pressure.

No, but he had a RB who had the best season in the history of the Cowboys. So there's that.
But go ahead and ride the "not even close" idea.

Just like with romo Garrett is hoping the QB overcomes his horrid coaching. This time he doesn't have a seasoned vet to make it happen.

The sarcasm is appreciated. Time will tell with Dak. But fewer and fewer are sold on his passing abilities.
