I'm one of those guys that said we need to tank. So you were talking to me as well.

And your use of the word "quitter" is quite old. We're all still here. Just frustrated at the results since 1995.

Get over yourself.
I could care less if it’s getting old. You just can’t handle the truth.

I'm trying to find the quote but I recall Jerry West saying the worst thing a sport franchise can be is mediocre, not good enough to truly compete for championships, not bad enough to draft enough impact, game-changing players.
That is an old axiom.
I have been saying that for 20 years and the geezers like redball have been saying it before Jerry West got a brain.

Then Hurns would be without a job. Its not easy not having a brain like Hurns or TWill and trying to find a real civilian job.

trade some players of value but much lower value 2 years from now
put in young player.
make sure starters are totally healthy or do not play them
put in slower players in special teams
of course do not taking intentional safeties as there could be penalties including loss of draft picks

Move your best CB to another position, like safety maybe.

Tell your mobile QB not to run.

Turn the team over to a HC with no experience, or better yet, one that has failed miserably as a coordinator and/or HC.

There are a lot of subtle bone headed things you can do to tank, but not make it obvious.

there r ways to do it
ir players who marginally need it
play less lb and db on special teams
You don't think that wouldn't be seen for what it is? And this is the Cowboys, not the Browns, wouldn't the media just love a tanking conspiracy about America's Team?

waldo, being the ratings leader for NFL comes with responsibility and if they tried something like that, Booger wouldn't have one owner as an ally.

The giants will get their qb this draft..we're screwed with a 7-9 record.

Probably draft a tight end and at some point someone from boise state.

I would never root to tank a season.

But I also am not stupid enough to not understand that if we did "tank" it might actually be good long term for the franchise.

While the odds are against us for the playoffs right now, we are probably a few weeks away from having the discussion of whether it would be better to start losing a crap ton of games yet.

I absolutely rooted for to tank the 2015 season after it was clear we were lost without Romo. We lose next week and are 2-4, I will actively root to tank. Main reason it will finally force Jerry to fire Jason.

Sad thing is, we will somehow find ourselves to 7 wins and Jerry will find a reason to keep Jason. It is the mediocre, losing mentality we have.
