What we know to be true:

Dak isn't playing well at all
Dak might not be the long term answer @ QB we hoped for

What might be true:

The Offensive Line isn't playing as well as in recent years- not even close
The collection of WR's are all very average and probably lack playmaking talent overall.
Linehan/Garrett's offense might not be very progressive or challenging to the opposition.
Linehan/Garrett's offense doesn't seem to scheme the opposition at all and relies on winning each individual matchup
The Cowboys in general have had issues identifying quality offensive personnel at the TE and WR position.

What is true:

Garrett has proven to be lacking the ability to lead this team to a Super Bowl, he is regularly identified amongst the worst head coaches in the NFL. He is a walk around coach that still struggles with time management and decision making. The team regularly under-performs. His personnel choices have been poor, and he brings no ability to adjust to game situations or identify solutions to combat opponent strategies. He has been in position for 8 seasons and has 2 playoff victories and no conference title game appearances.

Given the above: where would you start to fix Dak's issues?

Walter! Have faith. Call me if you start getting too depressed.

oouch!! burn. Not sure how many more ways Troy has to say that Dak sucks for his Dakhards to get it. "he just needs a super star wr, te and all hof first pick offensive line, and Bill Belichick".. then he can be an average starter to below average starter. go go dak ooo

Fix his issues?

Trade him.

Just kidding. I think the only way to salvage him if he is salvageable is a new staff this offseason. Bring in a coach that has a scheme in mind that works, a QB coach that can work with him, etc.

I think the bed is made this season. He is what he is. Not much you can change now that will drastically change the trajectory of his season.

In 1991 Steve Beurlein sub for an injured Troy Aikman and finished the year 4-0, when Troy was healthy Jimmy let Steve start in the wildcard game against Chicago but after the Lions loss the next year it was back to Troy and the rest is history.

Dude, it was 8 weeks before Romo was ready to come back and the team was on fire, Walsh didn't do anything Dak did. And Jimmy said he wouldn't bench Dak.

Can accuracy be improved upon? Can anticipation be taught? Dak has looked bad, but I think he needs better coaching. Romo or Troy would be great, but they're both busy. We should've brought Norv back when he was available.
yeah accuracy and skills can be taught, that's why every college qb comes into the NFL becomes super stars.
why keep trying to force a square peg into a round hole, just get a real NFL qb.

Any coach worth their salt would have. Jimmy is part of the media that had an incentive to push the controversy.

You're crazy, don't let your hate for JG make you look like a fool. Belichek wouldn't put Bledsoe back in. No coach would've made that move.

Bledsoe wasn't better than Brady. If Bledsoe was better, he absolutely would have gone back in.

I wouldn't waste any time past this season trying to "fix" his issues. I would fire Garrett and clean house on the offensive coaching staff, hire a new guy and let him draft his own QB to develop however he wants.

Let Dak be exactly what he was supposed to be in the first place - a 4th round developmental project and backup.

Disclaimer: this is what I would do. This is most certainly not what Jerry is going to do.

Big upzzz...to all my haters.

Ok Troy summed it up perfectly.

Lol! Troy went 1 and 15 his first year and then was gifted Irvin, Novacek, emmitt, Harper and a Stud line their prime, plus a number one defense!!!! Troy is a spoiled brat! calling out coaches and players in public, what a puss!!!! Do it in private like a true leader would do!

Yes, we know all the media were pushing Dak.

Brady that year was playing better in every measurable metric that I can see other Lol yards per game.

You're crazy, as I said NO coach makes that switch I could go back. It wasn't media driven, it was the right decision at the time . As I said I didn't like it.

There really aren't any comparable situations since the job always goes back to the better player. Let's use a hypothetical, let's say that when Brady was suspended for deflategate that his suspension was 8 games instead of 4, Jimmy G doesn't get hurt, and they are 8-0 while Brady was suspended with the offense carrying the team. Do you think there is any chance that Belichik doesn't put Brady back in that lineup?
