Jeff Fisher is Lombardi next to Garrett...and Fisher is not good...

You can't even compare the 2. Fisher went to 2 championship games and a Super bowl. And people still think Garretts better??? It's a mystery. A coach who has accomplished nothing at all.

He didn't deserve the OC job, he didn't deserve the HC job and he certainly didn't earn a job in the front office. Weird how some look at it as a proverbial step in the right direction. It's time for this team to part ways with Jason Garrett, not move him further up the ladder.

the anti-garrett resistance results

cz poll: speaks for itself

  • 37%Immediately(28 votes)
  • 17%Before end of season(13 votes)
  • 9%No(7 votes)
  • 36%After season(27 votes)
  • 1%After the game last sunday(1 vote)
76 votes total

blogging the boys poll 2: How many games must Jason Garrett win to keep his job?
  • 29% No way this team will win 8 games with Garrett, and that means the end of Garrett’s tenure in Dallas.(554 votes)
  • 9% 8 Wins: Can’t have a losing season.(180 votes)
  • 15% 9 Wins: Sadly, a winning season could be enough.(280 votes)
  • 8% 10 Wins: A double-digit win season would be just the third in Garrett’s 9-season tenure.(148 votes)
  • 14% Whatever the playoffs are, that’s how many.(268 votes)
  • 15% 1 Playoff Win: A second playoff win in nine seasons may just be enough for Jerry to hang on to Garrett.(287 votes)
  • 10% Only a trip to the Super Bowl will save Garrett’s job.(193 votes)
1910 votes total

Your long winded statement is just as nonsensical as the previous shorter one

By your criteria every former cowboy player who is 'personable ' should be in our FO

Stop clutching at straws just because you were wrong about Garrett and won't admit it

This response is so ridiculous all I can do is shake my head and laugh. I gave a laundry list of things that would help him succeed in the front office (smart, well educated, understands football, knows how the NFL and NFL teams work, personable and diplomatic, has an even temperament, has experience as both a player and coach and a working knowledge of virtually all aspects of the game at the NFL level ...) and your response is to pretend that I have said all a person needs is to be personable.

By the way, where is your explanation of how a person that made it to the NFL as a player and coach could have failed at every level of football, as you claimed, and also your evidence that I said Garrett was a great coach in waiting, as you also claimed?

Seems you have a habit of just making up whatever suits you.

I wish I felt like it would make a big difference. God only knows who Jerry would bring in next.

But sure, can him. Tired of his face. Just don't think it matters much in this dysfunctional organization.
This. I think fans are finally beginning to understand that removing JG is only scraping the surface of the issues that lay beneath this organization.

I think to a large degree we haven't even tried. This past week it appears they were included in the game plan.
Well, i say it sorta tongue in cheek due to the many ways you could look at it. Just a couple of my personal favorites:
1) Aren't TE's supposed to be a struggling QB's best friend?
2) 4 catches on 4 targets for 87 yards which equates to 41.8% of our passing output. Hmmm, might have tried harder to get them more ... whether i was the coach or the QB

I voted after the season, but only if there’s no miracle where this team of rookies and new players starts rolling and wins a playoff game. I don’t see the talent on offense for that, but if it happened, I would not fire him.
