He threw for like 150 in the 1st half when it mattered. Second half was just about just controlling the win.

On top of the fact he had some balls dropped which were perfectly thrown which hit the WR in their hands.

I'm not worried about his durability.

Dak had a history in college of running. He's not a daisy. Guys are bigger in the NFL, but QBs are protected. I don't recall him taking any real hits on his planned runs. I'm more worried about him getting hit on scrambles and in the pocket.
He also doesn't take the risks that RG3 or Wentz takes running with the ball. He's usually a pretty smart runner and knows when to go down or OOB

yea, it took a gun to his head

Nothing beats fire up the butt for making things happen. I would still can Garrett after the season. He provides this team nothing of value and the only reason he probably went for it on 4th down was that Jerry called him out on it.

What the heck happened? I'm still processing this win. The defense has been good all year, but how can a team look so clueless on offense for 5 weeks and then put 40 points on the NFL's top ranked defense? Is this a harbinger of things to come or was the coaching just that bad for 5 weeks and now they figured it out?

My biggest question though is who was that guy at QB and will we see him next week.........

Same here for the ENTIRE team. Why are we great at home (which is certainly excellent) but useless on the road? Why can't we at least be competent on the road? I don't expect us to win all our road games, but why can't we be at least COMPETENT on the road?

Geez, you don't think it could be that he's a 3rd year player.. Just coming off a sophmore "slump" and trying to get his confidence back?

I swear, Cowboys fans think like spoiled children sometimes.

Like everything else in life, nothing good comes without a little patience.

I think they simplified the offense. The shuttled in even less receivers this game. 3 Te, burns, Beasley, austin, gallup, and hurns.

If they let him run 10 times a game, he can be an average QB. They were desperate so they let him do it today. Teams crash down hard on Zeke on the RPOs.

But Stephen has said multiple times he doesnt want to expose the franchise QB to injuries.

Stephen really isn't crunching the numbers , maybe daddy can help ?

Maybe he is in the wrong business ? If rushing dak gives Ws, then ....

Yet he never said they shouldn't or would stop him from running. They had zone reads in every game

first off, the Jags are not NFL's best defense, we saw far better vs HOU and CAR, stats through 5 games tell an incomplete story

second, the big difference was Williams at LG, he really handled up today

third, fantasy football type thinkers will hate this O, the stats will never look normal, other than Zeke for 100y, the stat that matters is Dak's QBR

fourth, don't let Beasley's numbers today fool you, they threw to 9 guys and targeted 11 - this is still an experiment

fifth, modern NFL Ds are designed to stop pocket passers - Dak's mediocre from the pocket - he's hard to beat out of the pocket

Biggest thing that helped him, the offensive line at least in pass protection by FAR played their best game. Dak had a great game, but their was a few times he was late to recognize route development and instead of throwing guys open they had to be completely open, but luckily he had time for this to happen, and this unfortunately will not always be the case. The Jaguars offense being completely putrid helped us as well on both sides of the ball.

There's nothing to be confused about in my opinion. This is the same guy we've seen since day 1. When the play calling utilizes his legs, mainly through options, PA bootlegs, and designed rollouts, he is far more successful. When the playcalling is very vanilla and they treat him like Romo, he sucks. A great QB like Rodgers or Brees or Romo can make any coach and any playcalling look good. Dak needs good playcalling and good play design to utilize his skill set properly and make him look good.

those fumbles were strange fumbles

Romo basically said it best some bounces will go your way some won't luck was on our side today, but that being said based on how this game went I don't think they would of saved Jacksonville today.
